Default Weird 3G issue after rooting

I'm new to this rooting thing and after a successful attempt the other day I noticed my 3Gdroid randomly cutting out and completely loosing my data connection. This has never happened before and I am slightly concerned. Has anyone else had this issue or heard of other people having this issue and know a good fix?

Just rooting the device wouldn't cause that, is there something else you may have done or some other programs you may have installed? Are you on a custom ROM? One thing you can try is to try reprogramming your phone. Try dialing *228 option 1, reboot, *228 option 2.

The only thing I've added since rooting is jrummys rom toolbox. I haven't decided which custom rom I want to use yet so I haven't flashed one. I'll try reprogramming and see if thy works.
