Default Phone constantly restarting itself. Best/any fix?

Hey all. I'm a bit fresh to the smartphone scene, but I rooted my OE a while back before the click-root came out.

Then I (stupidly) accepted an OTA update and lost root, so I followed the click-root to get it back, which worked.

After the click-root, my phone now occasionally reboots itself for no good reason. I'd say about 25% of the time I go to unlock my phone it reboots instead, and it will also happen sometimes while I'm in apps. It gets pretty frustrating.

Any help? Can I somehow revert to non-root, then go through rooting again with hope for a better result? Is wiping the whole thing for a fresh install the best idea, and if so can anyone point me to a guide?

Thanks!

My phone reboots when it runs out of RAM memory, download Android Assistant and configure it to autoboost every 10 minutes.

This turned out to be the problem, thanks! Any suggestions for a permanent fix? I can keep the wifi off, but it'd be nice to not have to.

it be nice if lg fixed the damn wonky phone instead of freaking out and pushing updates that do nothing but kill root. cheap bastards. same goes for virgin mobile for not testing the device for such problems. prepaid or not. people spent hard earned money on these phones. they should at the very least not reboot just because you are using a built in function.

No kidding Curtis, haha them killing root almost makes this phone obsolete. Root is just about our only way to fix the problems with it that NONE of those LG guys know how to fix. Which is funny because there are uneducated 13 year olds that do their job better than them.

i like your post and thank you for it lol. really,LG pushed that update not long after root was achieved...threw in that bullsh--t quickmemo like anyone would want it..a half assed radio patch that did nothing to resolve the terrible signal you receive on the elite..wow.. bring in the army of 13 year old linux boss dogs to fix this thing please..because LG either doesn't care to or cant!

Yeah seems LG has gotten pretty crappy.. at least with the elite.. I always liked lg phones but they have really dropped the ball with the Elite. Someone needs to acknowledge this phone has an issue and work on fixing it. People spend their hard earned money on these things they should at least work
