Giantpune for getting Clockwork Mod up and running so roms could be made for the Optimus Elite Community.
Leslie for her work bringing Harmonia and Aeneas B.Y.O.R to the Optimus Elite, without there would be nothing to flash.
Hashtag for a really good build.prop
ktb83 for some brand new editing to the system and framework to give the rom a more overall ice cream sandwich appearance..and much more actually..im to tired to remember it all but there was a fair bit of editing by ktb that will make for a better rom overall. thanks ktb
bll7 for a newly edited mms.apk that gives the theme a more ics appearance. thanks bll7
-----
How to install:
Download rom,enter clockwork mod,make a backup of your current system,perform wipes/formats,flash rom,reboot.
Temp download link until it can be moved to a more stable host..
sounds good. thanks hashtag. now since I'm having connection issues,it gives me time to make some last minute edits. I hear there is an optimized build.prop? if I can get my hands on it,I'll add it also. looked but can't find what I'm looking for.
I'll pm rom link to you tomorrow before I ever post it up here. I want it to work as it should. I'll check in the a.m. for build.prop info if its available. gonna finish watching gamecocks whip up on georgia then bed. later everyone.
not sure if hashtag is still up,so if you test this out tonight landon and everything works ok,feel free to post the link to download for others. and if you have the time, drop in a few screenshots and thank you for helping out.
been a long day. calling it a night. good night everyone whos still up on here lol..
Lol, yeah I'm still up. Downloading now. I'll flash it, test it out, then get back to you.
EDIT: Tested it, and it works out good. Had no problems with it, and it worked right from the get go. Looks like this one has potential Curtis, nice job
Just use the link that Curtis posted above, flash it, and you're done.

just noticed that the status bar has lost its ICS coloring for the clock and it would appear so has the 3G icons and signal bars. did drop down menus and phone theme properly?
edit: I think I know why the coloring, etc isn't there. I'll check it and upload a fix for it in a day or so. still ok to use until then.
edit 2: temp fix is to flash this theme right after installing ROM then reboot. everything should be properly themed. ICS Elite [Theme] For Harmonia

From seeing the ICS theme that you made, the drop down menu and some other stuff were not themed. But, themeing of messaging, browser, and the dialer look awesome!
Things that need to be fixed:
Notification dropdown
3g and signal icons
That's all I saw wrong, I'm pretty sure Hashtag pointed out some more in his screenshots. I wont post the link because this still needs a little work.
Great job Curtis, keep at it

I overlooked my systemui.apk of all things. all anyone has to do to get the full effect of the theming is to flash my theme above right after flashing the ROM,then reboot. it will restore proper systemui.apk. I'll upload an update with some other things done in a few days.
edit: working on the changes now plus some additional stuff. will hopefully have the fixed download up by this evening. adding in k-9 mail and a few other things.

Can you update your Harmonia theme with the dialer from this?
Everything looks great except for the stock green dialer.
Thanks dude, keep up the great work!
the dialer should be themed in this rom. its not themed in the theme. which systemui/framework which are the only things in the theme that are themed. im updating the rom now. browser is now fully themed along with all other theme elements fixed that were not and added k-9 mail client. should have it up in about two hours, want to finish one last thing on it. then you can just download the rom and get all theming and extras without using the theme.
I'm finished with this rom and have it finalized waiting to upload, but work is keeping me busy today. I pretty much have every ICS related status icon there is in final build. Going to stick with what I have. Will get the final build up some time this evening.

Right, I understand that, but I want to stay on Harmonia.
No offense, but I don't see a reason to switch to anything else except a higher Android Version.
Thanks dude.
glad you clarified that. I thought he meant the theme issues.
I've tried some smali editing of our current SystemUI.apk to add back the 1x icon. I've also tried adding in a SystemUI.apk from an AOSP 2.3.7 build I've been working on. That SystemUI.apk definitely has the 1x code still in it. Neither has worked and I'm guessing there is something in /framework responsible for it.
I also threw in a Settings.apk from my AOSP build which makes tethering options, manual time/date settings show up as well as some other things. As expected the native tethering feature produces a temporary error 67. Setting the date/time manually works only momentarily, until something behind the scenes takes over timekeeping again.

when I had the phone I watched the icons closely to see if I could discern when I hit 1x vs 3G. I noticed that when I had true 3G the 3G icon was solid green in upload and download.. but when in 1x RTT the 3G icon turned white in both upload and download and stayed that way. I think the true 1x icons are actually the white 3G icons.

I was almost certain green just means you're connected with Google's servers/services. I could be wrong.
I was under the impression it meant you had true 3G connection, otherwise the only other icons that would appear are a drop down to 1x or loss of data, etc. Each corresponding to their respective icon. only on the elite have I seen the white 3G icon mixed in with the green and also having the 1x icons...which never appear. Because maybe their just in the apks but aren't linked to system at all in function. on other gingerbread phones I've had even the 1x icon was green when I was 1x. I don't know, maybe I just never noticed the switch between green white indicators before. seems like to me lg linked the 3G white to the 1x functions. meaning that when the system detects and sends command to show the 1x indicator, lg has it set to show those white 3G icons instead. who knows, the elite build of gingerbread is pretty good minus this connection issue crap. which may not be related to gingerbread but to the hardware.

They removed the 1x code from StatusBarPolicy.java in SystemUI, and also modified code somewhere else which I haven't figured out yet, but left all the various icons (1x, 3G, E, G, H, 4G).
maybe they removed it because they knew the phone couldn't help itself and constantly jumped to 1x. gotta hide hardware issues any way available. why else would they completely remove it?

I believe it is more likely that they do this to mask the shortcomings of their network rather than the phone's hardware. This is not the only Sprint/VM phone that has had the 1x icon purposely disabled.
dont matter,i think the development community can remedy the 1x icon issue as far as restoring its function to the phone..may be able to help connecvtivity to a point. at least be able to get it on par with other vm phones that dont exhibit the problems the elite does.
got a quick request for anyone using this at the moment. i need a current screenshot of drop down menu and dialer if possible. and try to apply a wallpaper either by long press menu or directly in gallery. was told on another forum that user couldnt apply any wallpaper either through gallery or 3rd party app. but gallery never was edited at all and should not be causing any errors. thanks in advance.

Curtis, do you mind if I make a zip to install the themed messaging, browser, and dialer apk's for those who don't want to move from harmonia and would rather use your ics elite theme?
nope. don't mind at all. but in return I'm hoping you will do a bit of testing for me. I need a few screens of my final build. namely dialer, drop down and home screen. and need to see if you can set your own wallpaper via long press to gallery or directly from gallery. I will remove this completely if it isn't working properly. and without ability to test it myself,Im left with no other options without community help.
Curtis .... I wanted to post to thank you for your work. I would like to say I'm trying these new custom ROMS, but to be honest I'm still playing with launchers and widgets. The Elite is my first Android phone and I am loving all the options. But I am also having a hard time deciding on all these options - lol. The Android world is an awesome thing.... wish I were here years ago.
Loaded it, stable so far. Confirmed icons say 3G in 1X mode. Interesting activity indicator of traffic, I like that more than the little arrows from stock.
Wanted to get you those screen captures, but the LG screen capture tool says "current screen cannot be captured." whenever I hold in the volume keys to launch it.
The text has a very robotic look to it, is that what an ICS phone looks like? Kind of neat, might take a bit to get used to. I see you kept the virgin mobile audio noise on bootup, with a hexagon animation.
need to change that VM boot audio...and I used Sony sketch font for system font. ICS uses robot which I found to be a bit big and bulky for my liking. it would appear that the quick memo app isn't functioning properly. you can delete it using system tuner from play store. I may update this tomorrow just to get a REAL screen capture app in there. to remove quick memo in system tuner just click its system tab and look for quick memo app and select uninstall. a good replacement is screenshot ux.
