Default Where can I find stock apk files?
Is there someplace I can download the stock apk files for my Epic 4G? I thought I had a backup but apparently didn't (oops!). Long story short, I need MediaProvider.apk and MediaUploader.apk that I can install to replace the deleted ones with adb or through Astro File Manager.

I did try getting the signed .zip of EB13 ROM from xda-developers.com but I couldn't get the apks in that zip to install correctly. I suspect that these only work when flashing the whole ROM and won't work if just trying to install a couple apk files with adb.

Second request for help.... Been trying to fix this for over 8 hours of actively working on it now :-(

If someone could maybe just attach the files, that might work. I could try just copying them to my phone. The ones I need are the files for the Media Scanner.

MediaProvider.apk
MediaProvider.odex
MediaUploader.apk

I don't recall if there was a MediaUploader.odex or not.

Haven't checked the links as I already have the file (at work, so can't upload them anywhere at them moment) but it's worth a shot:

I didn't see the files you are looking for, but perhaps you can use the information in the thread to configure the zip file you got from XDA in order to flash it in CWM.

D'oh. I just remembered seeing them on XDA and thought they were the right ones. Sorry about that! I hope no one is still running Eclair these days...

the files from the signed zip are prolly deodex'd.. which if you have an odex'd rom they wont work
