Default BusyBox not getting busy.

Hai guise,

I really want to use NoBloat free to get rid of all of Sprint's and Samsung's crap like media hub to free up some internal storage space.

However, when I use the "BusyBox Downloader" app to get BusyBox, it tells me "Failed to copy to /system/xbin". Anyone know the reason for this? I also noticed it says "system free: 0.00B". Whats up with that? In settings it says i hve over 200mb free!

Halp. Hugs and kisses will be rewarded.

Are you rooted? You probably don't have the proper permissions to write to the system folder.

Yus I is rooted. I granted the program superuser permission on it's first launch. Should I just try another app?

Sorry, I was hoping someone more familiar with your phone would chime in here. I should probably take it out of the lounge and move it to the right forum. Are you trying to install to the phone in your signature? or a different one. I just want to make sure I get the right place.

In the mean time, you said you tried a different installer .... have you tried BusyBox - Android app on AppBrain?

download Titanium pro from the market, it enables you to freeze system apps and programs that came with your device.

Your app didn't seem to work either Lunatic... and I can't afford an app like Titanium Pro right now.

This is really letting me down. Seems this damn device never wants to work correctly. :[
