Default Keep Ringer and Notification Volume the Same??

Am I blind, or is there no way to do this? I'm used to setting my ringer volume only, and expecting new voicemail or text message notifications to be the same volume!

I've always ued "quick profiles" to set up volume controls. Separates out everything and allows shortcuts to each profile on home pages. They also work well in the launcher pro dock so they don't take up home screen space.

I like the ability to adjust the volumes separately, but I would also like the option to just adjust ONE volume and have it cover everything, using the volume rockers on the side of the phone.

I'm downloading Quick Profiles now. thank you!

Okay, I'm not seeing this as a solution. It still separates everything. I don't want separation. I want to adjust the volume with the rockers on the side of the phone and have THAT volume apply to calls AND messages.

Not what he's talkin about...

I use an app called Volume Setting[cVolume]

It allows u to create up to 9 profiles with whatever settings u like including system, alarm, etc...

I too was a bit frustrated with the fact of the Notification volume not following the main volume (via the Volume buttons)

i was thinking he meant to have them both at the same volume & volume rocker simply controlling that. .

Rite; it won't do that... the rocker only controls the Ringer volume; on the Moment, u could check whether or not u wanted the noti. volume to be the same as the Phone volume but this Samsung doesn't offer that... Kinda silly to me...

I switched to the epic from the evo and every other phone I had before that (including the evo) had this possibility. This is VERY frustrating! Quick profiles works alright, but I too would love to just use the volume rockers to control both the ringer and notification volumes...

This needs to not be forgotten. Seriously very irritating that my new shiny epic lacks basic volume control. Every other android phone seems to have the volumes dependent by default. Why are we missing that checkbox?

S'okay. Anyone know if all the Galaxy S phones are like this, or are we the only unlucky ones?

I recently updated my audiomanager widget and it has an option in the settings to link ringer and alerts. For some reason, I can't get it to stick though. Each time I open the settings in the widget, it is unchecked. It does work immediately after checking the box to link them though.

I hate that! I've noticed the camera on these things does the same thing with anti-shake and the resolution. All of a sudden, my pictures will be shitty, and I look, and everything went back to the preset settings. ugh!

I guess let us know if it starts working right. I cannot believe Samsung overlooked this.

Update. I've been using AudioManager from the Market for a few weeks now with no problems whatsoever!
