Default Glitches with XTRSense 5.01

I rooted my Eris and installed XTRSense 5.01 yesterday. It is fast and smooth, and the wired and wireless tethers both work great. However, I have already found a few glitches:

1] On boot up, it briefly starts in Airplane mode.

2] The phone is no longer recognized as a drive on any Windows PC.

3] Apps2SD doesn't work. After running this GScript, no apps would download/install until I ran Apps2Internal.

4] Live wallpapers doesn't work either. I ran the GScript and downloaded an animated wallpaper. It caused a FC, so I uninstalled it.

Does anyone have any workaround for any of these issues?

Thanks in advance for responding!

Airplane mode was intentionaly done to fix the time without singal bug. If you watch it closely you will see a pop up message on the screen after the script has ran

As already answered, this is by design; it eliminates something called the 50% bug, where the battery use setting would incorrectly tell you that the phone spent 50% of its time searching for a signal.

Did you also partition your SD card using the steps listed in the xtrSENSE thread at xda-developers? I have to say, though, that since cache2cache was added to xtrSENSE I have not had need for apps2sd, but there is more to it than just running the script.

See xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][GPL][3/15/2011] xtrSENSE5.0.1 [cache2cache,apps2sd,oc,jit]-HTC Sense for instructions, a little way down that post.

As for the others, I'm on a Mac and connectivity is just fine, and I never use live wallpapers either, so hopefully somebody else will step in. That said, I wasn't aware that xtrSENSE supported LWPs - I think that all of the 2.1 ROMs running the Sense launcher do not support LWPs. Maybe if you switch to the stock home it will work, though.

See xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][GPL][3/15/2011] xtrSENSE5.0.1 [cache2cache,apps2sd,oc,jit]-HTC Sense (though that is from last October, when it was quite a bit older than now.)

Ok, I found in the changelog that LWPs are only available if you are not running the Sense launcher - so, running the stock home, or LauncherPro, ADW, Zeam, Go Launcher, etc.

Many thanks to doogald and brock350. As instructed, I partitioned the SD card and ran the Apps2SD gscript again. It worked like a charm. I now have about 150 MB of apps installed, and still have about 6.9 GB available on my SD card. I also now have about 130 MB of free internal memory. The apps appear to run just fine from the SD card.

Partitioning the SD card also fixed another problem. My Eris now appears as a drive in Windows Explorer when connected by USB to a PC, just like it used to.

Now that I understand the brief Airplane Mode "fix", I have no problem with it.

Finally, I don't need live wallpapers, but I do need the HTC widgets, so I will stick with the HTC Sense launcher.

XTRSense rocks, and so the the good people on this forum!

I'm still liking XTRSense 5.01 a lot, but I have one more problem due solely to my own stupidity. I over indulged in GScript and accidentally ran the script that removed Teeter (thought I was removing Twitter, oh well). So my question is, how do I get Teeter back? I found the Teeter.apk by unzipping the ROM, but my attempts to install it have failed. Someone smarter than me, please respond.

Just flash the ROM again, without doing a data wipe. (I'd do a Nandroid backup just in case.) That will bring back everything that you may have deleted, but you'll get Teeter back as well.
