most us now are running GingerShedBread. i think that the GB roms are the way to go right now,the 2.2 roms seem to have been forgotten as everyone develops their 2.3 roms.

2.3 has better app and process management, not letting un-needed apps run in the background and consume battery.

youll find the cm7 based roms to be very similar to what you were using,so give one of them a shot. most of us are runningn GSB,but tazz has a GB rom as well,so if you like his work alot, definately try it

here are the current GB roms:

GSB: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944430

tazz: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945324

OMGB(AOSP,not cm7): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1022290

tast bread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=978608

and a new one i just noticed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030346

i think ill give that last one a shot

yup... i ran it a few days and it worked extremely well. when i ran it,it was still at 2.3.2,instead of 2.3.3. i dont know how much difference is really betweeen AOSP 2.3.2 and 2.3.3,but i ended up back on GSB and meant to keep my eye on tasty and see if he ever updated it to 2.3.3. but i forgot about it(saw somethin shiny,lol... it doesnt take much to distract me )

i would definately reccomend it,as well as that last link- condemned cm7. im running it now and its really smooth and functional.

Squirrel!

What was I going to "say" again? Oh, right...I think I may give them a shot. I've been pretty pleased with the FroShedYo and haven't really been flashing many ROMs....Thanks for the low-down on these.

i switched from nonsensikal (since the dev no longer has an Eris anymore) to GSB, and i haven't found anything to hate about it yet.

i have noticed a better battery life than before. and apps are responding just a lil quicker than it used to.
