now theunlockr.com actually is one of my favorite websites. however,i clicked on the eris android how tos the other day and was a lil surprised what i saw.

on the main page it lists z4root and unrevoked as root methods HTC Droid Eris How To’s | TheUnlockr i used unrevoked on my inc,so not such a big deal there,im sure it works on the eris.

however,check out some of the roms in the eris roms section:

really? kaosGB?! froyosense?! if youre smart enuff to read the comments,then youll prolly know not to flash them,but if you dont its no wonder people keep wandering in here confused and fustrated after flashing. the rest of the roms are simply outdated. xtrsense is the only one listed that i recognized and would reccomend to folks. the prollem is that they will put up pretty much anything that someone reccomends.

anyway,just thot id share this... i found it somewhat interesting. maybe even a couple roms worth checkin out for the flashoholics

A couple of weeks ago Lifehacker posted their always updated Android rooting method post and I pointed out by email that unrEVOked was not the best method for the Eris. Unfortunately, they didn't yet put in the part about using jcase's 1-click root app from the market, but they did at least pull the Eris from the list of phones that can use unrEVOked.
