Unrevoked - ok cool ...now what?

Unreoked was easy as pie.

But are there updates I need to apply? I know not to do ota update which im not.

Also how do I delete resident bloat ware? Even rooted those apps dont appear as 'uninstall' on the app management screen.

either way(evo or eris) best way to remove bloat IMO is to use titanium backup. it also has options to "freeze" so you can test the waters and see if deleting the particular app has any disastrous concequenses

you can also go into your phones file system using an app called root explorer,and manually delete the .apk programs that you dont want. this gives you no insurance,however... if you accidently delete something that something else depends on and it makes your phone go haywire,you may have to restore a backup to get your phone working correctly again. a slightly safer way to do it with root explorer is to create a new folder,and move all the bloat you dont want into it. that way if somethin wierd happens you can move the .apks back out.

either way you go,always make a backup before you delete anything with titanium or root explorer.

if you did root an eris using unrevoked,did it change your bootloader to s-off?

also,did unrevoked install Amon_RA recovery? or did it instruct you to download rom manager and use clockwork? i would not reccomend using rom manager or CWR to manage and flash roms on an eris,so if this is what you have,we need to figure out the best way to get scary aliens "trackball optional recovery" onto your phone... its much safer that way

as far as otas,your custom recovery will not let an OTA happen. youll need to install a stock recovery inorder to even conisder getting an OTA.

My mistake. Rooted evo. Havent attempted to remove bloat ware yet.

I used unrevoked and it installed nand backup which i did to the card. Thats as far as ive gotten.
