Default greetings

greetings from beautiful south Carolina. I have a droid eris with 2.1 on it. I love the phone but want it to be "not so buggy" i have average IT skills and in a couple of weeks i will use one of the wonderful methods that yall have described. I like the phone just the way it is but i want to to be faster. What ROM in the posted linc for roms is considered the one that has the most functionality...is there a list of rom details?

nice site btw, glad people are tweaking these things out there.

Read the how-to root guide. I've tried xtrSense and it is a big improvement over stock. I tried GSB but after having to add launcher pro plus and beautiful widgets to get back the sense-like tools, it seemed a bit slower than xtrSense to me. I also had a few bugs like an occasional black screen, slow wakeup, and a few other small things.

I'd start with xtrSense 5.01 if you like the sense UI. If you don't xtrROM will get rid of sense.

GSB and Condemned will give you Gingerbread...

You should "try em all" to see what fits your needs...

Once you root the world is your oyster. There's a lot of choices in roms, some not so good so read the threads and see what most people are using. I'm using Condemned CM7 and am very happy with it. We are a very helpful bunch so when you have a question just ask and personally I'd rather be in florida.
