Default Droid Eris stuck at 1x instead of 3G.

I recently rooted my phone but am now back to stock. For whatever reason my phone is stuck at 1x. The network isn't down in my area and we don't even have 4G to interfere with up here. Any solutions to turn 3G back on? (the network button is on and no matter where I go, it continues to stay stuck in 1x)

have you just tried leaving the mobile network on. I just got back from a cruise, when we hit Miami, my rooted phone was showing 1x but I just thru it in my pocket and 5 minutes later it was 3g and no problem since.

I had this too following a recent rom installation, and then it got really bad when I traveled to another city and had no voice or data service whatsoever.

Dial *228 option 2 to fetch the latest PRL and you should be ok.

You're a lifesaver! Thank you! I never would have thought to re activate it.

Hey, thanks for coming back to let everyone know that it worked. It's helpful when people do that. Sometimes you suggest things and people never let you know if it worked.

I've been having a similar issue... I used to consistently get 2 bars of 3G here at work. Not the best, but I could still entertain myself when I should be working instead. Lately it seems as though my phone's either searching for signal or only getting 1-2 bars of 1x. The constant searching for signal is mutilating my battery life. :-(
Never needed anything like it before but now I'm considering something like Juice Defender or similar.

Yes, this is a battery killer. Did you attempt a PRL update yet?
