Default Lotus Notes Calendar

I saw the Lotus Notes Mail thread and decided to start a thread for my own issue . . .

I've actually done some investigating on this (since January '10) and haven't really been able to find a definitive answer or set of instructions on how to get help with my issue.

I don't want my work e-mail on my phone, but it would be nice to utilize Google Calendar. Currently, I am using Google Calendar and a calendar widget to organize my personal life (I try to keep work and play separate, which is why I have two phones--BlackBerry for work and an Eris for play). I do know that using HTC Sync, one is able to sync the Lotus Notes Calendar and Eris. That's not really what I'm looking for . . .

I'd like a way for all updates, changes, and recurring events to import to my Google Calendar, but not vice versa (not have my Google Calendar import to Notes). It would be most ideal not to have to use a USB cable to make this happen and for it to occur automatically (I'm set to automatically Replicate on Notes Open and Close).

Any ideas?

Under Notes, you can set replication to be one-way or two-way for each replication database... so you would set notes to replicate to GC, but not accept changes from GC. Is that what your asking?

If that works, that would do it. I've got no idea how to set that up though. Any advice?

Thumbs down CompanionLink

What I did, just the other day, was to install CompanionLink on my work laptop. Already I am mighty happy with it -- I get my work calendar synced to my phone as one of my Google calendars (that is, I have "personal", "spouse", "holidays", and "work", and it only syncs against the "work" one). It seems that I can make changes in Notes or on the phone, but I haven't looked into advanced recurring events yet.

That's all I wanted so that's all I've configured it to do. However, it can do one- or two-way syncing, separately configurable for contacts, calendars, and tasks -- but no email (which is just fine by me, YMMV). I think you can also sync other calendars back into Notes, but I haven't looked into that either.

You can sync via USB, or configure it to sync to Google with an adjustable time period.

It's not a free product, though. After a 14-day trial it costs about $50, but then there's still some sort of 3-month money-back guarantee.

Edit: I'm having problems with rescheduled and updated meeting notifications causing duplicates in my Google calendar. I'm notifying CompanionLink, but as of this writing it's still broken. (I may not update this post later on, so search around if you are interested in this issue.)

(standard disclaimer, I'm not a companionlink stakeholder, yadda yadda...)

Thanks! Work is a nightmare right now, but I'll look into this when I've got a minute (probably later tonight).

Here ya go as promised:
Lotus Notes to Google Calendar tool | Get Lotus Notes to Google Calendar tool at SourceForge.net

I have been using release 0.9.9.r5 for about 6-7 months with 0 issues.
Just upgraded to 0.9.9r8 and it runs fine, will try 1.0 later on today.

This is a true 1 way sync. I have it setup to sync every hour.

Couple things I have found.. Set this up to run as administrator if you are using vista/7 as it writes to a settings file.

Do not add reminders on holidays (Default is to remind you in lotus notes 8.x) else your goign to get a nice reminder on your phone every single friggin holiday.. drove me nuts until I went and removed all holiday notifications from my notes calendar.
I don't sync against local mail, I go directly to the server.. that way anything that hasnt replicated yet will show up and I dont need to have lotus open for it to sync which is key..

Enjoy and feel free to PM me any questions.

I left Notes about six months ago, so I can only go by memory. I opened the replication tab that lists the databases my PC is synced with. Selecting properties enabled me to select sync frequency, whether it was one-way or two-way, and the age of the items synced, etc. etc. That's where you want to land.

Cry Calsync help

So far the SW I've tried for syncing my Lotus Notes to my Eris, has all stunk. So I'm trying Calsync. Loaded but thinks I'm behind a proxy (which sometimes I am) which I am not now. Any insights to get past it???????

Pretty Please?

Try AweSync. Worked for me. I used CompanionLink for a year but didn't handle repeating meetings or meetings scheduled by other peopel well.

Thumbs up AweSync really does rock

I see that I haven't followed up my old post here.

I've been using AweSync for a long time now, and it works great. There have been a few kinks, and that's why I know that their customer support and development departments are a pleasure to deal with.

I was looking for something by which I can sync my Notes calendar to my Andriod. Calsync did the same (not exactly), now I can sync my Notes calendar to Google Calendar and then it will be sync with my Andriod phone.. so I'm happy.
For sure, I like to know if there is any add in by which we can sync Notes directly to Andriod...via Internet is good but if it can be done using USB wired... I would be happy...!!!
