Default [Rom][12-26-11]Stock Rooted ZVB Rom and Kernel

Here is the easiest way to return to stock Gingerbread from any rom and kernel. This is the stock system and boot.img.

Quote:
What is this?
This is the ZVB stock system and boot.img. It is completely bloated and odexed. It will return you to stock, out of the box rom, but still rooted. To return to stock completely (ie stock recovery and unrooted) follow the steps after the install.
Quote:
How do I install this?
1.) Download the .zip & make sure 4g is enabled.
2.) Place zip in external sdcard
3.) Boot into Recovery
4.) I recommend to wipe data (ONLY DO IN RECOVERY!!!) to prevent any problems
5.) Go to install zip from sdcard
6.) Select StockZVBRom.zip
7.) Reboot
Quote:
How do I completely return to stock?
1.) Follow the seven steps above
2.) Download and unzip Recovery All in One Package
3.) Click unroot.bat
4.) You are now completely stock!!!
Quote:
Thanks

Works like a champ.. Threw on Plague kernel, removed some bloat, threw on a few of my 'needed' apps, and this thing boots up within 1 minute 15 seconds (tried twice and it was right on the money both times) Thanks to all involved!!

Correct.. At least not until C can be rooted and you can put CWM on it.. There are are ways to downgrade I've seen but have read mixed results.. Haven't done it myself so YMMV..

I would make a backup before flashing anything.... it never hurts to have a little extra insurance - just in case.

+1.. There its always the chance of a bad flash or something happening.. Although slim at times, better safe then sorry.. I find sometimes i forget to back something up from the previous ROM itself sometimes and can go back and get it..

no, zvc cannot be root atm thus cwm cannot be installed in a 'normal' manner.

Anyone know of any issues in just removing unwanted apks from the StockZVBRom system folder, then flashing? Im familiar with not removing critical apks and such.

I installed the ROM the first time I got it and it worked perfectly. I installed again cause something happened and it installed but the bloatware wasn't removed and the kernel was the OEM (1,000GHZ) why is this?

keeps you from getting future OTA, like say for instant, you have ZVB and ZVC is updated only by tool, but let's say if they make ZVC an OTA which will return your phone to stock and unroot, you phone will not recieve it due to you freezing mobilecare.

ok cool so what your saying is zvc is a optional update right now am i right

also freezing mobile care will prevent a mandatory update if they make it a mandatory ota or any ota ok

but what about prl and other ota updates does this also stop them

It will be 100% stock. I was forced to update one phone due to a soft brick and it erases everything. Youll have the stock recovery.
