Hey all,

So I've had my LG Eve with Rogers for a while now, still on 1.5, and the only thing that really bothers me is the gmail syncing issue I seem to have. I've searched all over and I've seen similar issues, but never quite what I have...so here goes:

If I go into gmail - nothing is updated unless I manually refresh it. However, I can still send and read emails no problem. Syncing is all turned on in my options so I know that isn't the issue. Now, to really complicate things, sometimes it DOES sync up on its own and let me know I have new mail. However, that only seems to happen a few times a month.

So, has anyone else had this issue or know how I might fix this?

My suggestion is to use Moxier Mail with GMail ActiveSync rather than the gmail app assuming you want Push.

Just use your gmail account with m.google.com as your server, no domain required.

I use k9 for my emails and so far it works like a charm.

I'm having the same problem with my LG Eve and i would much rather use the Gmail app than Moxier. Shouldn't the Gmail app usually support push or automatic checking? There is an option "Notify in status bar when email arrives" that does not make sense if you have to refresh manually.
