Default 4G Pricing Announced

EE 4G tariffs unveiled - £56 each month for 8GB of data | News | TechRadar

Hopefully this will have come down a fair bit by the time 4G reaches my area/my contract is up and I can get a 4G phone.

Not as expensive as I'd thought, but not dirt cheap either.

I have just transfered from Orange to EE with a Samsung Galaxy S3 lte. On Orange I was paying £36 per month for 1gb of data, unlimited texts and 1000 mins. On EE I'm paying £41 per month for unlimited calls and texts and 1gb of data. I don't understand why everyone keeps on about how expensive their 4g plans are. For an extra £5 per month I've got the benefit of 4g as well as unlimited everything else. I'm well happy with what I'm getting for my money!

That's not a bad deal at all tbh. Do you know what they'll charge if you go over?

I think it's something like £5 per gig. If I ever feel that 1gb isn't enough (and it might not be the more 4g rolls out) the next plan up is £46 per month for 3gb ill just upgrade to that. I'm pretty sure that the prices will drop once EE's exclusivity ends and competition between the carriers start but for now I'm happy.
