AS for sticking this thread, its done, but its only temporary. Once the sub-forums are set up things will be unstuck and moved around.

Awesome. Thanks, TS. Hopefully, when the admins have the sub-forums set up, it'll help a 'bit to have a lot of the thread URL's there to merge and organize.
Does anyone know if the Zagg Invisible Shields work on the Evo? It has a capacitive screen right? So can you even use a screen protector? If it somehow works, does it diminish the performance?
I like Incipio's products. I've decided that I'm not going to ask all these accessory makers to make products though. Seems like we're having to do that with a lot of these manufacturers. I want more selection, but it's really up to them to move to meet market demand.
Seriously, there are probably 10k times more styles and models for every Apple product invented so if they really want to, they would.
I am always amazed though that none of these makers don't jump on this and seize market share.
Though I like Incipio, I already pre-ordered from Seidio because they said they'd be getting some Evos and starting their production for release on or just prior to the June 4 Evo release. They might run a few days behind to catch up with pre-orders, but I'll wait. I've seen some other Seidio products and willing to give them the same shot at my wallet that I did with Incipio.
I wish they'd make a Feather case for this phone. I'd buy a second case no problem.

You know, I didn't even think about that. Well, if people who have Invisibles ...I mean, Incredibles (LOL...totally blanked on the name for a second, so I thought I'd leave my original thought) are using them then we should have no problem.
Anybody check with the peeps who have Incredibles?

Zagg guarantees that their products won't interfere with the use of the phone in anyway, I don't see why it would be any different with the EVO.
Zaggs do block damage and have never caused any touch use problems for me, but they are not the clearest, smoothest shields available. I've never had an issue with Zagg durability or installations, but you can see the Zaggs on every device I have them on. By contrast, you cannot see the Fullbody Films shields anywhere except with a close side view of the devices where ultimately the shield has edges. But head on and to touch, the FFs are so much clearer and smoother than Zagg that I wouldn't put Zaggs on anything until they significantly improve in clarity and smoothness.
I have a question about the belt clip holsters. I hear that the magnetic versions are not good for touch screens. Can anyone here clarify if that's true?

I've carried my Palm Pre and Touch Pro in magnetized leather cases for years without issue.

Never had an issue with magnetic flips and touchscreens.
I do wish Sena would make a leather flip pouch for the Evo. I have a black/red Sena case that is very luxurious looking and feeling yet protective and easy to use. Sena's a little slow doing anything not Apple though.

Here's my question. From the unboxings, it doesn't appear that there will be a wired headset/mic with the phone. where would one obtain one if I decide not to go with the bluetooth route? any wired headphone would work, but I need one that has the mic as well.

Yes, any 3.5mm wired headphone/headset with mic will work.
What will NOT work are any wired headphone/headset with inline button controls to stop/start calls and stop/start music. I should clarify that there MIGHT be a set out there that does work with Android, but that is unclear & unconfirmed, from what I've researched thus far. There's an HTC set out there that had promise, but that only works with WinMo - there are no Android drivers for it.
this will need a special back cover which gives a ugly look to it
True, but
Seriously, if they made that same product for the EVO, I will jump on it like nothing else. True the back of the battery case will look bulky or not so form fitting, but think about it, I can easily take off the back cover and put on the default one when I am not in the car. In the car, I take off the default cover and put on the one that comes with the car kit. That car kit looks so nice.
I wonder if Expansys actually makes them or another company does for them.
I am even willing to buy the sucker and see if i can mod it to fit the EVo (providing I can find a separate EVO back cover to test on.
Edit:
Now on further examination, I see that the on the Expansys site the device has a different type of holder. Which looks like it does not need to have that battery cover with the wart thingy in the back.
i just might buy this one and then compare it with the one from Best Buy (when that one comes in) to see which one looks better.

That's a great price for that cable in a brick and mortar IMHO. Does anybody know if these are confrimed for the launch? Also, this looks like a best buy ad, but it doesnt say for sure. Any insight?
I hope they release the car kit soon after launch, I have no idea where to put the thing while I drive. Good to see they'll be selling the Body Glove covers! Only the case, body glove, and pouch will be available at launch apparently.
There will be multiple 3rd-party car kits before this thing gets released. Manufacturers will get Evos and then use them to make the equipment. They'll be doing it round the clock to be first or early in the market. It's a bonus to 3rd-party makers that there aren't a full line. I think that will benefit the customers too. Can't see the HDMI cable staying at it's listed price for very long - or at least not selling very well if it does.
I noticed there weren't any micro SD specific threads listed in the first post. Here are a few I found after a quick search. Quick warning though make sure it is a MICRO sd card since some people have linked non-Micro cards.

Just spotted @ best Buy...
cases & holsters for EVO I jsut got to play with a Platinum case/holseter combo at Best Buy.
$35 for the combo... basic black, but very similar to the sedio design holster. the case was a top/bottom sliding case with no extra protection for screen.
Seemed pretty solid at the store, and tricky to get off, until you got the technique.
* this is all based off of the floor dummy model
