With TS' blessing, I decided to start an "official" accessories thread where everyone can go to to find the different accessories available or that "will be" available for the EVO 4G. With all the leaks, I figured it'd be easier to search through 1 thread, rather than searching through the "general" EVO discussion thread or the entire EVO sub-forum.
I formatted this similar to how we have it on a forum that I moderate (we have it locked and stickied at the top of the sub-forum, for everyone to see and find info), where people can find specific thread discussions regarding something that might have already been discussed and can bump the old threads to either add information or for people that might not have seen the thread before. Hopefully, it'll work for the mods here and also help avoid "duplicate" threads regarding accessories.
For those of you that have any "suggestions" or "recommendations" as to changing the different headers I've made or organizing which threads should or shouldn't be included, I'm definitely open to hear all of them. Also, if there's a thread that was started that isn't on the list, but discusses a specific type of accessory, definitely post it in here and I can edit this first post to include that thread.

If I can get a post here confirming improved performance w/ the 2000 mAh battery, I'll definitely buy one. Stupidly low price.
The battery discussion thread should be a good one to keep in mind for after the EVO's release, so people who actually test the bigger battery can report back on that thread.
If anybody fines any other threads on the EVO forum that they think should be included in the first post, please post the link to that thread on this one, so that I can add the link.
Thanks a hell of a lot for linking that--it's exactly what I was looking for. Glad to see that somebody ran the tests that I earlier insisted could be ran, though many here insisted that there would be "no way of knowing." Looks like I'll not being buying a damned thing .

Anyway, back on topic.
Does anyone know, if they make a car dock/holder that attaches to the rear view mirror. Reason I ask is because, every window attached/dashboard attached car dock, just seems to fall off. And I would very much hate to have the EVO fall off the window/dash once I go over one of the infamous NYC potholes.

Let me Goo............. naw just kidding! I have not seen one. I saw one today that went into a cup holder though. Just another option.

I know what you mean about the car dock. From what it looked like, I think the based of the car dock is a 3M sticker, but not positive about that (could be suction cup).

I'm curious what the output from the dock is. I wonder if they kept it micro-HDMI or if the dock serves as an adapter to full size HDMI. That could make a difference for me. I've always liked having a dock for my phone, but was considering not getting one since this phone has the kickstand. It's more important for me to get the car dock first, and the official one sounds pretty sweet for the Evo.
Any chance this dock charges the phone as well? Would be pretty nice to have by the couch with a 15 ft HDMI cord running into the back of the TV - charging dock as well as instant access to the HDMI out feature.

I sure hope it does. Wouldn't make sense if it didn't. I plan on having that in my office.

when buying a car charger, does a higher output mA mean it will charge faster?...also is there a max output i need to worry about for car charging the evo, or any cell phone for that matter? grassy ass in advance

I would also like to know the answer to this question. I tried to do my own research (so everyone can resist the "let me google that for you" link), but there are so many conflicting opinions and misinformation on the interweb that I haven't found a real answer. I want to grab a $2 ebay special but would like some advice before I do.
I've already bought an extended battery and a multi-function charger from Seido. My email said it has shipped out yesterday, so with overnight shipping should be coming today. Already purchased a leather case from eBay (not sure when it's coming). But my plans were to charge the extended battery overnight on June 3, so I can install the extended battery when I get the phone at Best Buy. No more waiting!

I cannot speak to a rear view mirror mount, but I have one that mounts to the a/c vent. It was a cheap one from E-bay , but the sides are adjustable, so to not hit the side buttons of whatever device is being held. It also had a little frame for a picture of my young'en when nothing is mounted. It also attaches to the suction cup, which if both surfaces are cleaned well( I mean well, alcohol then windex, then lint free cloth) it sticks very well, I also came with a disc that could be stickied to what ever surface then the suction cup sticks to that.
I would like to see the specific dock, that looks like one of the plastic holster specifically for the EVO
From what I was told yesterday by my Sprint Rep, their store here would have cases and a few other things for launch day.
It's so frustrating because the rep I spoke with yesterday at a sprint store said the exact opposite. He said it is usually a couple of weeks after launch.

depending on the cost, i will probably get the hdmi dock if it converts the micro hdmi to standard hdmi
Done, done and done! Thanks, Bek. I can definitely vouch for monoprice's quality and pricing. Got 6 speaker stands for my home theater setup for EXTREMELY cheap and they're really sturdy.
