He did a good review. I'm not sure if I like that rugged back, though. The phone looks so great 'naked' - I'm not sure I wanna cover it up heh! I'm curious if anyone knows how much Sprint is charging for this body glove cover?

I also like mine naked, but after having the phone for a week the "honeymoon period" of treating the phone like a baby started to wear out. I found myself being less cautious of where I would lay the phone down so started getting worried of scratching the back cover and more importantly the camera lens.

I'm always curious as to why these sorts of cases only have felt on the center of the back of the case while leaving plain plastic on the front piece and the sides of the back piece. I think I'm paranoid that the uncovered areas will scratch the phone. I mean, may as well go naked if it does.

Hmm, looks good. Is it just me or does it seem slightly thinner than the Seidio innocase? I'm debating between getting either 1 of those or this one but I am not sure.

If you bought this, would you be able to return it for a refund within 30 days if you didn't like it?

Where there any other colors? I wish it was all black in the back instead of grey.

I don't normally like cases but I'd like some protection incase I drop the phone.

Do you think it would hold up fairly well if dropped? It seems to add a little bit of thickness on the front side, which may also help if the phone is dropped?

Are you also a Premier customer? Did you get the 25% off?

I have a lot of questions =P

Did they have the white one with the chrome trim? I was holding off buying a Seido to see if they were going to have it at launch.

Other then that how well did the 2 pieces fit together? I saw it's a little difficult to pry open, but I'm more worried about if there was any "wiggle room" between the pieces. I'm not sure if I like the way it fits together.

were you able to see the white one as well? In the pictures it doesn't appear to be as rugged as the black one

Dunno if its thinner but it added about 1mm of bulk I would say!

Yes, I asked.

Where there any other colors? I wish it was all black in the back instead of grey.

The Sprint Rep. said that was the only color they carry.

Do you think it would hold up fairly well if dropped? It seems to add a little bit of thickness on the front side, which may also help if the phone is dropped?

I dropped it once. Forgot that it was on my lap, but the 2 pieces never came apart.

Are you also a Premier customer? Did you get the 25% off?

Damn!!! I forgot to ask.

It fits the phone perfect! No wiggle room.

Great review mate! Would you know if this would be available at Best Buy? Or in any store upon launch?

According to the Rep only in Sprint stores. When I bought it they had just received the shipment of only 20 of this covers.

Yikes! Looks like I need to go to a Sprint Store when they open...

Another question. do you think if I have a Zagg INVISIshield maximum coverage protector, would it fit the case?

Good quesition! Well, Im currently waiting for mine that I ordered, but I think it shouldn't be a problem. The front part of the case looks to be perfectly flushed against the screen with absolutely no wiggle room, but its really not covering the glass at all, its actually covering the real thin plastic corners of the phone that hold the glass of the screen in place. But I really wont know for sure until I get the Zagg.

That sucks RS & BB aren't getting this case. I was hoping to use my $20 gift card from RS to buy this, but that's ok. There's a sprint store less than 1/3 of a mile from my house. I'll just take a walk lol.

Now I need to figure out what to spend the $20 on... hmm....

Thanks a lot guys! This looks better than the seido. I do not like how that case has a huge line horizontally across the back. UGLY.

I like this case but I am not a pocket kinda guy. Very unfortunate that it doesn't have a holster like the Seidio case does!

Does the locking mechanism feel secure? I've heard reports of the tabs breaking off both body glove and seidio cases, but for the body glove would be worse for it to come apart on impact.

Very cool! Can you post some high res pics with the case actually on the phone, particularly the front. Does the case interfere at all with the front facing camera?

My former iPhone had an Invisible Shield and using a similar case with it didn't work too well. Those cases are a very tight fit. Aside from tearing up the I.S. on the edges snapping on the 2pc case wasn't very secure.

Same here with a shield on my Pre. These kind of cases won't fit if your device has a shield. I really wanted to get this .

Thanks for the Info mate. I guess I'll just use a cheap face protector I scored over ebay then the full bodied invisiSHIELD. Cheers!

Hold out your arm, putting it on the chopping block, and grit your teeth. They'll hand it to you shortly afterward.

I've had friends tell me that Body Gloves are awful. The plastic snaps will break extremely easy if dropped/case removed.

Has anyone experienced similar issues?

EDIT: As I carry multiple SD cards, I take the cover off every so often - so someone suggesting "Snap it on, and leave it" will not work for me.

This is why I am a big fan of the silicone cases. As mentioned repeatedly, I dropped my iPhone and BB Tour on a weekly basis and have no issue. I tried one of those snap case on my iPhone and it fell apart upon impact.

Yeah, anytime I have seen a person with one of those body cases drop their phone, pieces fly everywhere on impact. Silicon is the way to go.

This is an excellent point. I had the Seidio Innocase II on my iPhone 3GS from day one. It had the felt lining the back only. When I went to sell the phone a few days ago, I removed the case to verify the phone was still in mint condition like it should be, but was shocked to find some scratching around the chrome bezel where there was no felt. Of course the back was still brand new. I think I will go nekkid on the Evo. Or maybe silicone.

Save your money and wait for a decent two stage case from Otterbox or Case Mate. By two stage I mean silicone or a soft rubber like material that form fits your device followed by a hard ABS plastic cover. Check out the Case Mate Hybrid Tough case for the Nexus One or the Otterbox Commuter Series ($35) case for the iPhone 3GS and you will see what I mean. The Otterbox Commuter ($35) case is HANDS DOWN the BEST CASE that I have ever purchased for my iPhone and I cannot wait for Otterbox to release one for the EVO! These are REAL cases offering REAL protection. The Body Glove case is available now, yes, but it is JUNK, a waste of money, and it offers MINIMAL protection at best. Wait for Otterbox or Case Mate to offer a real alternative. Surely some great cases are on the way for this great device.

Yeah, it happened to me once with these sorts of snap cases and I haven't used them since. Personally, I would want to use a case to keep scratches off the phone while dropping the phone is not really a concern for me. I'm still trying to decide what to use. I'm leaning towards a leather slip case, but it adds so much bulk while carrying it around (Belt clips are too dorky looking for my taste--although I'm thinking about it for practicality reasons).

You're right, they are beautiful cases:

HTC HD2 Commuter Series Case (U.S.) // OtterBox.com

but I wonder how long it will take for one to come to the Evo

I think that I will have to hold out for a Otterbox Commuter Case. Those are nice...I will probably buy a el-cheapo silicon case until Otterbox is available.

I would guess we're looking at the end of June at the earliest...

Wish Magpul would make a case for this like they did for the iPhone.

Good review. I was fortunate enough to play with one a few days ago at the Sprint store and I really liked how it felt and didn't seem that bulky. Definite pickup for me on launch.

Even though I don't like how the case looks just the fact that it's from Magpul is sick

It'd be nice to have a phone to match my AR's.
