I laughed so hard when I read it too. Epic win in my opinion. I think a flash is in order just in honor of the op!

It looks very interesting and has wimax working, so I'll give it a test run when I have some time in the next few days.

I'm using it right now. It's pretty good. Not crazy about the transition animations but it's far from busy or overthemed IMHO.

Ok, am I just missing it, or where are the google apps and themed apps downloads? I can't find it in the rom page or on v1 page anymore...
Are they universal or specific to this rom??

I remember in the v1 thread he kept saying to flash the small gapps then the large, then the small again since the small one had some 'fixes' in it, so it had to be flashed last. This lead me to believe they were rom specific...

It was on the socialdroid post that the download link on XDA takes you too. I think this is it:

Thanks for the find French.... I'm flashing it now... Destroyer 1 was a bit of a fail only because the black on black text seemed everywhere.... Hoping this new version has done away with that issue as the Destroyer post says it has! Anyone know if GPS has issues or if WiMax runs well? Guess I'll know soon enough...

Update tomorrow... if the Rom lasts that long!

Just flashed, so far, so good. Got connected to wifi OK, got google apps up and running, contacts are synced. Intro is a little long, but other then that, its snappy and responsive! We'll see how battery life is over the next week.

I'm sure you've probably done this already, but, have you tried doing a full wipe and reinstalling it?

Just an update, no FC's at all yet, and I've been playin with it all night. Did a few reboots too since a lot of people on v1 seemed to have problems after personalizing then rebooting the phone.

So far, I'm lovin it. Using the Honeybread theme now.

I really like this rom, but my battery is getting smoked! This is doing the same thing toastmod did when I was on the 1.90 PRI. I downgraded to 1.77 and it fixed it. I wonder If I should upgrade back to 1.90 PRI and NV?

I think 6% in 8 minutes is a little excessive!

Reflashed.... no FC's I don't like the money icon for the market place... It would seem some of the apps in the market place have the same money icon. I'll check the gps tomorrow, no Wi-Max in my area. Sleep....

I flashed this earlier today, and it was working fine until I tried changing the animations in the app that comes installed on the ROM. After that, I was getting nothing but force closes. I tried wiping cache an dalvik, reflashing gapps, and nothing seemed to help. So I just wiped it and switched to the most recent CM7 nightly. Oh well.

Try a different kernel. V1 on my phone sucked on battery life too. I am trying out Tiamat 3.3.1-SBC right now but I have had very good luck with Savage 1.6 in the past on AOSP roms.

I thought I would write an update regarding my experiance with the Destroyer V2 Rom. I have and never really mess around with kernals and thus have left this one alone as well. With that said my experiance has been a mixed bag. The transistions are great, but can hesitate almost lag a bit and yes I have wiped and wiped again before flashing the Rom. The lock screen is nice, I do like the HoneyComb'esk slider; however I must say I did like the two sliding bars with your typical CM7 Rom. Yes you can add gestures and so on, but I found them to be a tad bit glitchy and if I start taking about all you can upgrade / down grade then there is no point to talking about the Rom "as is." The battery Icon is cool, but change the theme once and you will notice it too can become a bit glitchy and sometimes just fail all together for a minute then return to normal. The black on black text has all been eradicated; however still persistes depending on the Rom you use. I found it in the market place and in my "Dial One" dialer. Lastly I absolutly hate the stack of hundred dollar bills icon used for the Market place. What I found great was Wimax works and GPS locked in seconds not minutes like CM7 has. The Rom is overall quick and the trasistions, albeit a bit much at times, a great change of pace. I like the blue vs. orange glow when you hit the top or bottom of a scrollable screen.

I can go on and on about the Rom; however I would say its a great theme and is quick; however the black on black text and the market icon really cramps its style. Seriously, nandroid your rom and flash this guy for a day.... Get your own oppionion of the Rom and move on. Again, I did mention I don't mess around with kernnals, but WiMax kills the battery on this Rom and you might want look around for an alternatice. I hope this was helpful guys.... I'm going back to my CM7 and may check out another 2.3 GB rom other than CM7 anyone have a suggestion? I was also thinking about the Kings rom... I now its a sense rom, but hey... that why we root and flash right... curiousity... Happy Monday guys!

UPDATE****

I received the same FC as I did last night... The issue was opening and changing the animations in the ANIM Mod app... (That might not be the exact name as my phone went to crap and I had to restore immediatly) It is the first app in your drawer... fatal... DO NOT TOUCH / LAUCH this app or you will see just why the Rom is called Destroyer!

Here, try this out:

[ROM][ACS] GB UNleashed 2point3 [GBU-3/20/11] " KING STYLE "

If you like Kings style and flare and prefer to stick w/ AOSP, this is probably for you.

OK so I rather like destroyer, ran v1 and liked it, ran v2 and liked it. However i have too many bugs to keep running it. It may be me, but im pretty much pro flasher at this point lol. I fix most bugs but i dont feel i want a rom where i need to go fix bugs when i flash it. I can deal with most things, odd timestamps, buggy battery icon, etc. But Ive always had an issue going from airplane mode to mobile network ever since v1 even. Reboot usually fixed it but today nothing i did got it back, I wiped and rebooted, formatted all restored nandroid, still no 3g. Nandroid back to Kings RU3 and its fine. Maybe it had an issue with roam control app i use I dont know but roam control is necessary for me. I have seen other people with issues getting 3g back also, reboot was the soultion but didnt always work for them either so it wasnt just me. Either way i am done with destroyer till like v5 .

having this issue today. seemed like i only got 5 hours out of my rom. i turn off BT and gps when im at work. signal strength is pretty decent. any suggestions other than turning off data. no i don't like using juice defender.

Have you tried a different kernel? There is a kernel mentioned earlier in the thread that forum members have had success with, why not try that? Are you using SetCPU?

I'm using SavagedZen-0.2.0-CFS-HAVS-WiMAX-GB-noSBC-signed as my kernel.
I have wifi on all day along with data and gps.
9 hours of moderate use and I'm at 79%.
Not using any other programs or anything to help with power draw.

Loving this rom so far. Had some issue with pictures sent to my phone, being blurry when viewed after saving them, but it seems to have gone away now...?

I had everything off, I mean everything, and it still drained like a sieve. I think it was my PRI, plus stock kernel.
Maybe pieces of Toastmod were left behind, I don't know. I'm a wipe-aholic, I wipe everything manual 3 times, then flash calkulins 3 times before I flash any new rom.

I'm actually disappointed, because I liked the rom.

yes it is actually weird. i charge it overnight and then it runs down pretty quick while I'm at work so i charge it up. then the charge seems to last longer. i don't get it.

I have had good luck with Savage 1.6 in the past and am testing out Tiamat 3.3.1-SBC right now and it seems as good or better than Savage. Give them a shot and see if it helps.

I'll try this weekend, use this thing all day for work, so I need stability through the week. That was my first walk in AOSP land on the evo, gotta learn a little more.

I switched from Sense to Evervolv then to CM7 and now Destroyer. I have tried to flash some of the new sense versions but keep coming back to GB roms. Even with the couple of flaws I have found, they are still very usable as a daily in my opinion. I don't use my Evo as much as some do though through out the day.

I'm the opposite, keep flashing all the GB roms and all of them have the same flaws. Not once would I think I would like sense roms but after dealing with AOSP roms for so long on the Hero, it's nice when everything works. I don't have to tweak this, download that, flash back to sense for this problem, flash back to CM7, hope this works..... Oh well, I'll be flashing Deck's GB RC3 along with these GApps soon enough

+1

AOSP was the way to go on the Hero! I've been stuck on Kings R2, very stable and fast. It's my rock when I break something!

Mine was glitchy too. It always came back though. Doesnt he have a circle battery mod.zip you can flash? Change the theme and then back? Clear cache and dalvik? THose are my only suggestions... Oh make sure that show battery percent is unchecked in the cm seting under like status bar settings and dont use the battery percentage theme...ok thats all i have really...i know its no definite answer but as i said it was glitchy so i just effed around with it. It'll probably come back for no reason lol.

Check Magnus' op over at xda, he had a fix for this....if my.memory serves me correct.
Still the most epic op in the history of absolute rediculousness, in my opinion.
