Default Need help with CM7 profiles and sound? Defective

Ok, I am running CM7 rc4. My 1st problem is: whenever I change the ringtone of the phone or the notifications, they don't stick. As in,when I reboot they are back to the defaults. This is very annoying, anyway to fix this?

My second problem is profiles. How do they work, do you have to enable them somehow? I have selected the silent profile, and when I get calls they still ring, when I get any notifications it still rings or vibrates or whatever. Why is this happening? Do I have to activate it in some way? Because in no way is this silent. Thanks for your help.
