and yes with the superwipe you will flash it by choosing flash from sd card you should wipe first then flash the superwipe then flash the rom.

i would wait on the tweaks until you know that everything is working first. so reboot after you flash mikg3.0. sign in and make sure nothing is wrong then go back and make a nandroid backup and then flash the tweaks. you will only need to wipe dalvik cache and cache then flash the tweaks.
Thanks - Running MikG3.0. Booyah!

So far I'm diggin it, though I've barely scratched the surface. One question I just thought of - once you're rooted and running a custom rom, I'm guessing you would never update your profile, PRL or firmware through the settings menu, right?

I'm also about to update the radios. I want the full base/pri/wimax & nv, correct?

Thanks again!

prl and profile is ok to update. no on the firmware and software as well. do not update those. mikg has it setup so that you will not get the message asking you to update anyways.

radios is ok to do. just make sure that you have you wimax backed up.
and make sure you have plenty of battery and never pull the batter out while it is installing that is a good way to brick your phone.

Got it. Out of curiosity, amon ra 2.3 seems to be the recommended version throughout the guide and many posts here, but I just came across references to 3.08 and 3.11 (and the possible issues with restoring in 3.11). Is there any reason I wouldn't want to upgrade to at least 3.08?

Stick with 2.3, as it's actually made by amon ra and was made for evo. Others are just spin offs, if you will, of 2.3 made by different people.

There is a thread on mik mik about it.

Edit: here it is. http://themikmik.com/showthread.php?p=168044

Dunno if this should go in a new thread... but with mikG 3.0 is there any way to change what apps are launched from the splash screen? I don't use the default mail or messaging program, but those are what launch if you select the mail or messages icons from that screen. I'd like to change them to gmail and handcent, but haven't found an option for that yet.

By splash screen do you mean lockscreen?

If so, then yes you can edit those. Check the lockscreen settings

I knew I had that wrong when I typed it... lol So the only option I have for lockscreen is the lockscreen style. Do I need to flash the Tweaks update from mikG to get additional settings?

EDIT: Ok, I thought this would be under MikTweaks, but it's not. I found it under the Personalize settings. Thanks!

Wimax not working properly after Revolutionary root
HTC Evo4G
-Revolutionary-
SUPERSONIC EVT3 Ship S-OFF
HBOOT-6.16.1002
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-2.15.00.0808

While browsing websites my phone will only partially load the site when 4g antenna is on and connected. The load bar also freezes. As soon as 4g is turned off website loads fully. Checked webkeys and they are still there. I did not make a nandroid. This is my first time rooting and I have no idea what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to forums!!!!!
Go into recovery and wipe dalvik cache and cache and reboot
Your phone. This usually fixes most issues.

I'm trying to download the radio mentioned in the unrooting 2.15.00.11.19 but Mediafire is being a brat and not letting me download it either on my phone or my computer :// Anyone know of any other links or ways to get the radio?? The link on XDA Forums also links to Mediafire which doesn't want to work either.

well if you like sense then you will love mikg3.0. it is is sense 2.1 and sense 3.0 cooked together to form a super rom. it is very fast and very stable. mik is IMHO the best dev out there. you can even flash his tweaks to make the rom even better. here is the link:MikG v3.0 [12/17/2011]. download the v3.0 first. the tweaks you can do later.

Yes if you didnt like the stock prevail look then you dont like the AOSP roms.

I think a factory wipe and the zzwipe would take care of the problems. make sure you put that rom on your sd card, and the zz wipe zip then in recovery you can just go to install zip from sd choose the zz wipe when it finishes go back in and choose the rom

all those FC are normally caused by apps not getting wiped you should if you continue to have trouble use the zz wipe ocn breze pointed me too. it seems to work wonders.

Ok, I have a question on unrooting. A buddy of mine has a rooted EVO running hboot 2.10, froyo I believe. It was rooted with unrevoked, has Amon_ra and runs fine....BUT it wasn't activated on a Sprint account. In a failed attempt to activate it, a Sprint rep asked if the phone was rooted, suggesting that if it was, it wouldn't take the programming of mdn and msid. My question is, could I use any ruu file to unroot it? It would only be temporary, just to get it activated, and back to root.

I haven't tried it but I understand you can get it activated with sprint with the right rom.

have you tried just loading the latest stock rom? we have a link to it in our all things root thread, in the Roms and kernels part.

well a ruu will not unroot the phone. you will need to flash the unrevoked s-on tool first to get s-on. but a ruu will give you stock and keep root. all you will need to do is after it is activated is to install a custom recovery again and you are good to go. but flashing a stock rooted rom is also another and easier way to do it.

Thanks for the help guys! I was already downloading a stock ROM when I thought about this: if he followed a similar guide to what i used, he should have made a nandroid backup right after rooting and before flashing his ROM. Luckily he did, and I told him to just do a factory reset, then restore that backup and try the programming again. It worked! He flashed synergy on it again and got everything up and running.

ok so what exactly are you doing? are you fully unrooted? or are you trying to unroot still? or are you trying to re-root?
