Default Account has Been Hijacked! Need Help

Hello, I ran into a couple of pots holes along the way during the flashing. I got/stop as far as the NV item writing and could not to do so because the cdma workshop 3.5 was a demo and doesnt allow this option. Can I still use my Sanyo Incog in the meantime until I get things up and running? I'm currently without a phone at the moment.

1. Does anyone have a working cdma workshop, I'm not able to unzip/extract files from the one posted? I keep getting a unread on corrupt file.

2. My phone was already flashed once thru someone else but later my account was closed because they used that same donor phone on another account thus causing me to have to buy a new donor phone of my own. Couldn't I just skip a lot of this stuff and just enter in my new donor phone info? If so, where do I start?

Thanks

Keep on trying and make sure you have the correct drivers installed. CDMA workshop can read the Prevail. You can get the NAM 1 and NAM2 files from it. You can also read the memory.

I'm just wondering if there is any other way to go about getting the information off the phone....

the new cdma workshop 3.8.5 is awesome!!! It will obtain the ha and aaa keys from the nam files. No need to mess with nv items!!!

I am flashing a HTC Evo shift to Boost mobile using a Samsung Rant and have some serious problems.

I managed to use the "open sesame" folder to change the ESN and it has been sending and recieving calls/texts.

However, the data is not working and I tried EVERYTHING. I have the correct HA and AAA passwords for both profiles and tried setting them to no avail.

I noticed here you said you don't have to mess with NV items. Does that mean I can keep the factory sprint 465, 466, 1192 and 1194? How did you go about this?

Also, not sure if I am reading this right but, did you change the SPC on the 4G phone to that of the donor phone?

I am now getting close to the end. and here says:
RequestNVItemWrite Meid 0x00A0000000000
how many digit should I put here.
in your attached pdf file, it says 0x0A000000000000.
these two are different, which one should I follow?
and I check the back side of my donor phone incognito, the MEID HEX shows
A000001290F728 14. what is the right format for me to type into command.

I tried type in
RequestNVItemWrite Meid
0XA000001290F72814. but it always error. does it must have 16 digits start at "Axxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".

would you mind to help me on this matter. many thanks for your great help.

Round 10 (EVO 3D)

Now you can write your MEID/ESN of you Incognito to your Evo 3D, In QXDM type the following commands. (Replace the X’S with your meid

Password 01F2030F5F678FF9
RequestNVItemRead Meid (this will display the current Meid)
RequestNVItemWrite Meid 0x00A0000000000 <-Meid/HEX ID from your donor Incognito/rant
RequestNVItemRead Meid (This should now display your new Meid)
RequestNVItemRead ESN (This should now display your correct Esn)
You are now done close QXDM.

what shall I do.

hey been lurking for a while but I have a question/problem.

CDMA Workshop can find and connect to my phone but QPST and QXDM do not recognize it on port10(QXDM finds it but under GPS Target) I have tried to update the driver and roll it back, I have made it up to the point to search for my MEID and both programs worked no problem. I came back last night to finish it up and it was no longer finding the phone. Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Default Htc evo 4g bootloop corrupted nvs

Hi I need help please. My friend bought a htc evo 4g sprint to flash to boostmobile and he was using CDMA workshop used a incognito got the spc and everything changed then he hooked the evo up got the spc and went to rewrite the nv items did so then the phone reboot for some reason and now the phone is in boot loop. Tried to reset with sprint stock and it goes through the whole thing then reboots and its still in bootloop. The computer recognizes the phone in fastboot but won't reset it. When hooked up to computer and put in hboot the computer pops up a android 1.0 tag in the bottom right side of computer but won't do anything. Theres no recovery just goes to bootloop again. I need to know of there's a way to reset back to stock. It's rooted with clockworkmod and s-on. Any info would really help. Thanks in advance.

When you change the meid you will also need the use the HA and AAA keys of the new donor so yes you will need to go through all the steps.

And for the new cdma ws you will only find the new one Here

Anyone able to connect to the Incognito via CDMA Workshop but not able to read it? I noticed the front keypad slowly flashes and was wondering if this has something to do with it. I could use any help as my pc that has xp on it is super glitchy and is actually working at the moment, I have been trying to do this for a week!

It takes time...I kept going in circles trying to get them, only to reboot and there was still a few there...I used this to finally get them to all zeros

How to scan MEID locations in CDMA workshop 2.7 - xda-developers

Its a long process, but I can see this is the most foul-proof method. This is as opposed to trying everyone else's memory locations in attempts at finding them.

This finds "your" locations, all of them!

I am curious, when it says zero out all ESN and MEID numbers does this mean only as a whole string of numbers or does it mean partial strings as well? Also having trouble converting the addresses from WinHex to QXDM, any help would be great!

Does this require a "smart phone" as donor? My friend has a Boost flip phone (no idea the make/model) and if I upgrade from my evo I might give it to him to use on boost.

Default need help! i flashed my evo 4g but 3g not working!!!

ok! hey guys i followed the instructions on how to put the evo 4g on boost!
i kind of got stuck on the zeroing part! but after trying everything out there from
downgrading from radio 2.15.00.11.19 to 2.15.00.01.09 nothing was working for me!
i had to upgrade again to radio 2.15.00.11.19 and then did a bunch of different scans! and finally i was able to zero out both my esn & meid!

now i wrote the donnors (incognito) meid to the evo and on qpst followed the editing part of prof 0 and prof 1 and active user to 0 wrote to the phone and then rebooted by itself and during the reboot the screen on my pc popped a screen saying the mobile reported the follwing errors while writing nv!!!!
error nv_ue_imei_i nv_readonly_s
well i let the phone finish rebooting itself it does show my incognitos info! but i get no 3g!!!
i went back to qpst to redo the last steps a few times i noticed that everything looks good! expept for the active user 0!!!
it wont stay on 0 !!

any help with this issue would be appreciated!! thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any phone will work to get talk and sms texts but for 3g you need a 3g capable phone as the donor.

a "smart phone" is not a requirement though.
The one that everyone uses because it is easy to use and gives 3g is the sanyo incognito. but other phones will work however if they are a 1x phone you will be limited to 1x speed.

One day a new solution came out to get S-OFF (the one with the cable trick) anyways I did this s-off tutorial and everything went well I got S-OFF!! SO Im trying to Get my metro meid back to the phone...I already did all steps but im stuck in the part where i have to go to the "nvm" folder in efs explorer..... Theres no "0" or "1943" file in there ... I already repeated all steps several times... Check all software version (qpst 2.7 355 etc..) please help me

for metro pcs you do not change the meid, you pay metro to add that phone to there esn list.

You can not get those from the prevail through those programs, there is other way but it takes time and patience.
This post tells the way to get them.

i had to upgrade again to radio 2.15.00.11.19 and then did a bunch of different scans! and finally i was able to zero out both my esn & meid!

now i wrote the donnors (incognito) meid to the evo and on qpst followed the editing part of prof 0 and prof 1 and active user to 0 wrote to the phone and then rebooted by itself and during the reboot the screen on my pc popped a screen saying the mobile reported the follwing errors while writing nv!!!!

well i let the phone finish rebooting itself it does show my incognitos info! but i get no 3g!!!
i went back to qpst to redo the last steps a few times i noticed that everything looks good! expept for the active user 0!!!
it wont stay on 0 !!

any help with this issue would be appreciated!! thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could you possibly post all the addresses for the MEID locations you used? I am having trouble find a couple, I have done scan after scan and such, the ESN is zeroed but now I just need the MEID. Thanks in advance!

I can find all the ESN locations but only 7 of the MEID locations, I have done the scan in CDMA WS over and over and still come up with the same results. Has anyone done this with radio 2.15.00.11.19 and can post the addresses they used? It's been about a week and I am about to smash the phone. Also the Evo 3D method does not work, can't see file 0 or 1943 in EFS, although using revskills I can browse using their EFS and I see both files but I can't edit them cause it doesn't have that option.

you do not edit them on the phone. You copy them to your computer then using hex editor edit them then copy them(and replacing the one on the phone) back to the phone

I understand that, I don't see them at all in the folder using EFS Explorer but I can see it using the EFS tool in RevSkills. For some reason it is hidden in the Num folder. Any ideas?

UGH! i can't move the damn file 0 and file 1943..every time i try to copy the files from the phone i get error code (222) invalid argument!! any ideas?????? im seriously close to smashing this evo 3d into a million pieces.

*EDIT* Ok i solved the issue for anyone having the same problem. instead of using QPST 2.7 Build 355 i used QPST 2.7 Build 366 and i could drag the files..

i am however stuck agian :/..

stuck on "Round 9" i have zeroed out and everything went well now i need to write my meid hex id in QXDM but i'm unsure what it is or where the find it..

i think it has something to do with "round 3" and "round 4"

as the evo 3d guide has you obtain 465,466,1192,1194 and nam1 and nam2 but never says what to do with the files maybe it was accidentally left out of the 3d guide?

so where may i obtain my meid hex id? any help is much appreciated thanks!

*EDIT 2*

alrighty, so i believe i have the esn and meid part done correctly however after finishing everything up (ha, aaa etc) and rebooting the phone sits on hands free activation and never finishes and errors out.

("Your activation could not be completed to try again, choose "update profile" inthe system updates area of settings. if the problem persists, you may need to contact customer support. error code:1012").

also let it be known this phone was previously owned by a friend of mine in which he had it flashed to verizon (the msl was all zeros etc) so i did a ##786# reset and cleared everything out but it still wont activate.. i did notice after doing that the info in ##786# the phone number is now 000000#### (#'s being the last four digits of his old number) but the meid and esn matches my donor any idea whats going on or what i can try to do to get this thing working? thanks in advance.

ok got an update on my status...

got everything correctly put in programming service.. hands free activation still isn't working so i decided to try to make a phone call to see if i could dial out or if i got sometype or error.

I got transferred to "welcome to verizon wireless, please wait will we transfer your call" so somehow the phone is still trying to use verizon???? any idea how i would change this? is there a setting somewhere on the phone that i am missing???

i was looking around and i think you have to flash a .000001 prl to get it to work with verizon so maybe that is the problem? how would i go about flashing the correct prl if that is the problem? also where would i be able to get the correct prl i need? can i pull it off my donor?

any help would be very much appreciated thanks alot!

prl is easy you can do that with cdma ws or qpst sprint prls will work perfectly and you can find them at xda forum or just do a search for sprint prl.

alrighty so i wrote nam1 and nam2 from my donor to the 3d in cdma workshop and the correct info is now displayed under ##786# my phone number is correct and msid is correct as well as the esn and meid however if i do a factory reset from this screen when the phone reboots after it is done clearing everything it reverts back to the phone number being 0000007812 but the esn and meid is correct for my donor.

i tried to make an outgoing call to see what the message would be before reseting in ##786# while the info is correct and got error number 16 while making the call.

trying to call after the reset (when the number is reverted back to 0000007812) the message says "your account is not autherized to make calls to this number, please call customer service yada yada yada"

i did write the prl from my donor (nam1.prl it said nam2 didn't have prl info or something like that) in cdma workshop under the other tab. but it didn't make a difference still unable to do hands free activation after rewriting nam1 and nam2 under the nam tab.

any ideas if im doing something wrong? or any ideas what to try next?

*edit* ok so i couldnt get the new sprint prl to flash with qpst was saying something about it has no data or something however i was able to get it to write a boost prl (61008.prl) but i still can't get it to do the hands free activation thing :/ any ideas on what to try next ?

Thanks, now I can drag the files, edit them but when I drag them back into EFS I get the same error you had, error 222 invalid argument?

EDIT: Got the files changed out ESN and MEID are now zeroed, just wondering if I could have just changed the ESN/MEID right in those files instead of using QXDM to write it?

EDIT #2: Got the ESN and MEID from my donor on my phone, I think I got the wrong HA and AAA pws though which sucks cause the computer I use for XP is terrible and don't feel like doing that all over again. I assume this is the problem cause I still have no voice or anything.
