Yep. Flashed it last night. Still currently running it with stock kernal and its very snappy and battery life is good so far. I am currently 14 hours in on first charge on this Rom and still have have 40% battery left on moderate use. Liking it so far.

He increased the file size limit from 1.2mb to 5mb.
I am working on my own ROM as well built off of the stock 4.67 build but a very slim version with DT A2SD and dalvik-cache sd enabled. If anyone is interested in messing with it let me know. I am very new to building ROMs so I am taking it very light just to get my feet wet.
I was thinking about baking in the AnthraX kernel but I am not sure if that would be allowed or not. If anyone knows let me know!

If you need any help, let me know. I've been toying around with a shooter port.
I was thinking of trying a different port, but there really isnt anything that would work well on our phones that hasn't already been done. I don't really have the time to keep up on that, but I should be able to help with smaller things if your customizing/optimizing the stock ROM.

I have basically took the stock OTA and trimmed all of the bs out of the rom and added in several of the mods and tweaks that are posted over at XDA and have had great success on getting it running with AnthraX and getting the CoD tweaks added with ROM Toolbox and it's been running great! Also threw in the battery from MikG and ICS animations. If there is anything you can think to add let me know! The ROM is about 133mb in size.

Have you removed all the extra languages from the apk's?
Not that skilled and not sure on how to do it. Would you mind sending me a pm with any links you might have for guides? I only followed the kitchen setup guide, need more links lol.
Sitting at 33% battery 35hrs since last charge on the stock battery with moderate usage.

You basically use APKTool to decompile the APK's and then delete the extra language folders (Values_Es would be spanish for example, Values_En is english)
Then you just recompile the APK using APKTool and replace it in your ROM.
Example code in terminal to decompile:
apktool d apkname.apk out
d is to decompile
apkname.apk is whatever apk you want to perform the action on
out is the output folder. I usually just leave it as out to simplify the compiling process
Example code to compile:
apktool b out apkname.apk
Give it a try, if you need more help I can provide it, or you could upload the ROM somewhere and I'll see if I have time tonight

Thank you sir, here is what I am currently running and it's smooth as butter. AntharX kernel is not included but I am running v009. This ROM does have the latest HTC kernel with wireless N enabled.
Almost finished. Suprisingly there wasnt nearly as much to remove as the other ROMS I've worked on. Was the base of this the Stock ROM or was it pulled from TN's?

Stock ROM, I added most of the stuff over at XDA in the 4.67 mods thread and I took the wallpapers from TN's as a test, I am not a fan of some of them so I am going to be changing those. Do you know if baking in the AnthraX kernel is allowed to be distributed? If not it runs great on the stock kernel as well. I used the UOT kitchen for the battery mod and ICS animations.
One thing I have not been able to figure out was how to remove "Team-Nocturnal" from the quick settings

Ok You two have gotten me curious. I wan't to know if I download a ROM like this one how would I go about putting in my own mods. (Basically just a battery notification on the status bar that replaces the default one. I know how to actually do that part once its installed) putting in my ringtones, notifications, my default wallpaper and remove things I don't want like some of the system apps I normally delete from a ROM.
I just zipped it up. It only removed 1MB from the zip file. It removed like 50 MB MB from the 3.0 ROMS haha.
My language removal caused a bootloop, so I guess I know my problem with my 3.0 ROM now. I just wish I knew which APK caused it.
I looked into the TN thing, but couldnt find it in the usual spots.
It could also use a more flashy updater script
Other than that your ROM is fast even on the stock kernel.
Thanks It's even better with the CoD tweaks and AnthraX kernel. Do you have a link on how to create the updater script? I did not know how that was done :P

Basically, you are just adding a few lines here and there to make it say what you want it to say while its installing. I will use lines from Tommy's Classic here because thats what I have available to go off of at the moment.
All you have to do is place the text that you want to show up inside of the correct code and you can do all kinds of fancy things. Thats how TN & mik and everyone puts their names in the installation process.
Code:
Quote:
ui_print("");
ui_print("|----------------------------------------------|");
ui_print("| Hello, this is the Legacy Classic |");
ui_print("| Version 0.0.5 |");
ui_print("| brought to you by tommytomatoe |");
ui_print("|----------------------------------------------|");
If you want more examples just open up your favorite rom and check out the updater script.
About the only thing I'm missing with your ROM is the HTC widgets, but thats easy enough to get back on there.

You sure can, this is what I followed to get started.
Take one of your favorite ROMs or take the stock OTA and extract it and just look and see whats in there The above link will get you setup so you can cook your own. I have borrowed a few things from the mods page and other ROMs such as wallpapers and I am just building a clean, fast rom for everyone!

Oh, yes of course you can. I mustve got lost in what you said you knew how to do and what you didnt.
You can use the kitchen to make little "built in" changes and then build it. i've never tried to straight up rezip it, but that may work
I've never actually put the mods mentioned in the other link. I'm gonna start fresh and get some experience putting all that in there. Any tips nolimit?

Pretty simple actually, download the mods and unzip them. You should see the respective folders like "system" and it's as simple as replacing the file from the zip with the one in the ROM. My files are themed with the battery mod and ICS animations.

I see a fwe of the different ones replace the same apk's. You do anything special there or just pick the one youd rather have?
I picked what I wanted, I am about to upload the v1 of my ROM. Going to make a new thread and we can continue the discussion there. I changed the update script and few other tiny things.
You can pick through it once I get it posted

I'll post it up if you want to give it a flash, but I won't start a thread for it. Building it was all you I just tryed to reproduce it in a way which was more of my style for experience

Help!!
I've used this ROM and initially installed it and all seemed ok. Once I installed my back up of Apps then the phone does this reboot loop!! I ended up attempting to install three times with edited back ups to see if I was carring system files over in error that may have caused the issue.
Well the last attempt I did seemed to work for 36hrs. My back up of Apps was limited to a very basic list of games and tools with their data.
This morning I decided to reboot just to see if all is ok. (kind of a last test)
Well once again my phone is looping the boot animation. It will boot up untill the Sync starts then reboots again.
I've got to be doing something wrong. It seems that each ROM I've tried has some kind of issue that makes me run for recovery to stock.
Any help is appreciated,
from a limited phone skilled user!!

Is your SD card partitioned? The Rom may be set to automatically move apps to the SD and that's why it reboots.
If that is what's happening there is a command to turn it off but I don't know that much about it.
Hopefully someone else can chime in on this.
Thanks!! Good information. I have a 16G card and haven't attempted to partition it yet. I wasn't sure how important it is to do that!!
BTW, I do have everything on the SD that isn't directly system tied.

if you have a lot of apps placing a 1gig partition on the sd card is highly recommended. with that you can use a2sd. and not Apps2sd.
a2sd - uses a partition to move the apps to leaving on a symlink for the system to access the app. This places 100% of the app on the sd card
Apps2sd - used the .android_secure folder for moving "Parts of the app" to the sd card. This is equivalent to moving the paperwork off the desk and onto the floor. It doesnt clean the office. Just moves it around to share the load! while a2sd moves it to another room and just leaves a sticky note telling you where to find it.
