welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
try going into recovery and wipe dalvik cache and cache and see if that helps. any time you get force closures, glitches, errors, and such always try and wipe dalvik cache and cache. most of the time this will fix the issues at hand.
if that does not work then go into recovery and fix permissions:
if you are in clockwork mod select advanced then select fix permissions.
if you are using amon ra 2.3 recovery then under advanced select fix uid mismatches.

ok so
1.power off your phone. make sure that you have fastboot disabled, settings>apps>uncheck fastboot.
2.press and hold power+vol down. this will take you to the hboot screen.
3.select recovery
4.in recovery wipe dalvik cache and cache.
if you have clockwork mod recovery then go to advanced and select wipe dalvik cache, go back to the main menu when done and select wipe cache partition then reboot.
if you are in amon ra2.3 then select wipe and the wipe dalvik cache and cache.
you should be doing this at least once a week or so to keep your phone running fast and smooth. and like i said before any time you run into any issues always try to wipe dalvik cache and cache.

I do not see fastboot I pressed Menu: Setting: Applications
is this where it should be
what rom are you on? if is stock then fastboot was introduced with gingerbread. if it is not there then you are good to go by powering off the phone. with gingerbread you can sort of set the phone into a sleep mode and it will not fully power off unless you uncheck fastboot,

don't be sorry. this is what the forums are for.
so you have hboot 2.10 which came with froyo. so if you are still on stock then that is what you have. if you want to verify you can go to your phone settings>about phone>software info. your software should be 3.70 which is froyo.
so you can just power off the phone then press and hold power+vol down and select recovery and the wipe dalvik cache and cache.

If you rooted it in april of 2011 then you probably have Froyo android version 2.2 I think.
Then according to Ocnbrz you don't have the fastboot option. No problem. Turn off you phone and then follow the volume down while holding power button to get to the Hboot and then recovery.
Once there you can follow the steps already layed out on how to wipe your cache, and dalvik cache.
Ok got the wipes done rebooted and still have issuses " the appllication Google services framework (process com. google.process.gapps) has stopped unexcpectedly please try again "

well now might be a good time to think about flashing another rom maybe. or you could flash the stock rom that you are on now. if you can get to the about phone and software info in settings and report what software you have. you could just wipe dalvik cache and cache of the stock version you are on. you will not loose data this way.
or you can try mikg3.0 which is much better rom then stock.

yes you will loose your info, but you can try and back up your apps and data with titanium backup (tb). if you can't because of your issue then yes you will loose your info.
Ok I am downloading titanium back up right now. Once I get that done I am going to try to flash with mikeg3.0. Do I load this on my phone and flash from there or thur the PC. Is there a step by step anywhere I can read up on I will take my time my phone works just getting errors on my apps. Even my market app is forcing close?? Thanks for all your help.

Wiping cache and dalvik cache...from recovery once a week or can I schedule TB to do it for me...or is TB not quite as good a wipe as recovery?
Good Morning I have read up on all this for the week. Going to give it a try this morning I'll post back with my results hopefully all good Thanks for all the help
Okay it’s working, and as I stated in the beginning I am already rooted. So I verified s-off and proceeded from that point all seems to be fine. I just start with step 9 in On to Rooting your EVO!!!!! and all went smooth. Thanks for all your help could not have done it with out you!!

Excellent!!! I'm glad you got it working / figured out. I'm also on the 2.10 hboot version, works fine from here.
Now in the words of one of my early mentors, Mr. Ocnbrze: GO GET YOUR FLASH ON!!!

oops sorry i have forgotten you were already rooted. been up a lot lately trying to finish a school project of mine, so forgive me. well i'm glad that it all worked out for you. i would read up in the dummies guide i linked you earlier. in the after root section there is a ton of info that you should check out. and like granite said, its time to get your flash on
Yes I was rooted just my app were not working properly, a lot of them just would not start. I just wasn’t sure where to go from there. So that when you guys said I should wipe everything and start over. So I start at step 9 once I realized I could not root a phone that was already rooted. Then I finished that up went to Life after rooting, Switching recoveries then onto flashing. Everything went smooth I appreciate all the help Thanks again.
