Default Problems running MikG3.0 / Anthrax v9

This is the second time this has happened. I'm running MikG3.0 with Anthrax v9 and after using it for a couple of days, it quickly becomes sluggish and reboots over and over. I tried a battery pull and once it started up all I had was notification bar and a frozen screen with none of the volume or power buttons working. Pulled battery again and went into recovery to restore nand. Glad I had 3 back ups since 2 back ups did the same thing. Had to reflash MikG again but this time with freedom kernal and working fine. Problem is, I want Anthrax kernal. Any ideas what this could be? Also, I was using same Anthrax kernal for several weeks with no problems until recently.

Yea wiped dalvik and cache at least 3 times before rebooting and running nand backup. Still froze. I have 3 Anthrax zip (REV_003 / REV_004 and REV_zzzTESTzzz009) but I believe only two are working. I have flashed 003 and 009 and have had problems with both freezing up on me even after wiping and reflashing MikG 3.0. Bad link maybe?

Its possible that it was a bad download.

Did you install it correctly? (Wipe dalvik cache & cache, install kernel, wipe dalvik & cache again then reboot)

Yeah the instructions for that kernel are really specific, so make sure you try and follow it. Also, v3 and v4 are the same. When it first came out, Chad (the dev) said that it was actually build 4 but the name just didn't get updated.

Ok. I will look for the directions for flashing Anthrax. Could be that I'm installing it wrong. And Yes, I do have SetCPU installed... BUT I have NO idea how to set it correctly. Any help with SetCPU would be greatly appreciated (I know it's off topic).

Well, have you tried to play with it? It sounds like you could be overclocked too high.

What is it set at right now?

The directions for anthrax are

1) wipe cache and dalvik cache
2) flash the kernel
3) In the same recovery session, wipe cache and dalvik cache yet again
4) reboot, let it sit for about 10 minutes
5) reboot again and you're done.

I installed SetCPU and clicked on Auto detect speeds (recommended) and left it alone. It shows 998400 max / 245000 min and Scaling is Smartass. I have NO idea what any of that means. Thanks for any help you can give. Also I will give Anthrax v9 another go with the directions given above.

this sounds about normal as far as settings go. i personally have better results by using the interactive x governor. but then again all phones react differently.
