Default ROM's eroding over time?

I've have had my EVO rooted now for a pretty long time. I had a HERO before this and it was Rooted. I've Flashed countless ROM's over time. I can't seem to get on single ROM that doesn't eventually start having issues. Many of them start out working great, mostly for a day or two. Then I suddenly start having issues like Texts not coming thru properly, phone becomes very sluggish or unresponsive, reboots, etc. I love the perks that come with having a Rooted phone but I'm beginning to feel I would be better off just leaving it stock, unrooted. I honestly have not found a ROM yet that's been completely stable it seems. Is it just my phones or what? I'm a welder and own my shop. I do TIG weld a lot which emits High Frequency. Could this be my problem?

I'm currently running Radiance 6.1. It started out great but now reboots a lot and things like Voicemail notifications and MMS messages don't come thru properly but did in the beginning. It's super sluggish now too. I've wiped Cache and Delvik but that don't fix anything.

Sometimes doing a dalvik cache and cache wipe like once a week can help keep the phone from being sluggish.

The 3.5 ROMS just aren't in everyday working condition. They have problems with SMS messages not coming through and other little things as well. Thats the price you pay for having the "latest and greatest out there"

Go with MikG 3.0 or Tommy's Evo Classic. They are both stable and have everything working properly

Agreed. There are plenty of ROMs that work great...better than stock even. MikG 3.0 is awesome in every way.

Also, if you don't want to leave 3.5 roms, you may want to try another...Newts 3.5 roms are stable for most people. Every phone is different, radiance runs fine on mine but not so much on others.

Like when "virus" used to make evo roms, everyone LOVED his roms. But on my phone his roms always ran sluggish and I would have random reboots and I would go to get my phone and it would feel like it was going to catch on fire.

I use Amon Ra recovery. I've used MikG3.0 and a few others and they all end up acting up. Like right now I'm using Radiance 6.1. Started out great. then suddenly it's rebooting, not allowing texts to come in and out properly, etc. Then it's fine again for awhile like it is right now. It's acting like a woman!

Also, can I run the ChopSuey kernel with this ROM? I loved the HDMI mirroring it has.
