Question 4g evo wont boot..need help please

my phone doesn't boot up. i have tried several PC36IMG.zip files. ive tried recovery etc. Now after following a post i ended up formatting my sd card. THIS NEWBIE needs serious help, please. Originally my phone was flashed to boost and rooted, and when trying to update something I realized my recovery wouldnt work with the rom recovery I had.

I can get the phone to boot mode, I know it says the following..
Supersonic EVT3 Ship S-OFF, HBoot is 2.16.0001, radio is 2.15.00.05.02 and recovery comes up as Clockwork Mod v2.5.0.1. Any help would be much appreciated. ty.

Get amon ra on your phone first. Follow the link in my signature to get it. Then wipe everything but sd card and flash your rom. If you go into recovery you can copy files from your computer onto your sd card and get amon and the rom of your choice. I'd go with mikg.

Mizzou Brent, I took your advice on MikG 3.0 and the Amon RA. My htc has never been better. Thank you so much!

NICE!!!! glad it worked for you. mik is the best dev out there and his roms are always top notch.

have you looked into kernels yet? they will help to give you better performance and might even increase battery life. i would look into the freedom kernels. try the universal aggressive freedm kernel first. always give the kernel a few days to settle in before trying another one in the list. you should also get setcpu to help scale the cpu properly.

here is some reading for you:

Nice! It's a beast of a rom. It's the only rom that keeps me off aosp.
