Default droid dance boot screen

Hello again Android Forums. Since apparently the torture and abuse I put myself (and ocnbrze) through getting rooted and installing mikg3.0 wasn't enough, I've decided to change the bootscreen to the dancing droid. I can't seem to figure out the trick though. I found the .zip file that someone had made to just flash from boot, didn't work. Tried the adb push, didn't work. I've scoured and scoured but can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

ok make sure that this one is done in hboot. some of them you might have to use a file mananger like es or root explorer (i really like root explorer better, not free though but worth the money).

do you have a link to the bootanimation? or the thread for it?

edit: and i can testify that no torturing was ever done to me

Think just the regular zip is over at XDA I know I have seen that one before. IF you have the regular zip you will need a filemanager (+1 for Rootexplorer) Now the bootanimation can have several different variations of the name. I have seen:
bootanimation.zip
hTC_bootanimation.zip
spc_bootanimation.zip

So you will have to have it named exactely like it is on your ROM. I recommend renaming the otherone instead of overwriting it. (orig_bootanimation.zip) is one I normally do or after the ROM (tnsOrig_bootanimation.zip) The later is most helpful when you save to the computer and are scrolling them later.

Edit:
BTW we are very disapointed there was not torture to OcnBrz
