hello, i just got rooted today. I have a custom rom installed and now i would like to change my lockscreen. if i flash a custom lock screen does it reset the phone just like if you were to flash a custom rom? my rom is nitrous v1.4.4, where would i get a custom lock screen rom?

well i mean how do i get a new lockscreen im not fond of then one in this rom but i like everything else about the rom itself i just would like a different lock screen how would i go about getting one?

That depends on what ROM your on, but generally you can go menu>settings>customize and there should be an area for it somewhere in the same area that you switch your wallpaper.

Some Dev's will create mod's/tweaks for their ROM, that are specifically designed for that specific ROM; and you'll usually find them on the Dev's thread.
Make sure you don't flash mod's that were designed for other ROM's onto the current ROM you're running (unless specified to be safe and determined to be compatible), the effects it may have on your Evo may be negative.

well the best place to go is over at EVO 4G Themes and Apps - xda-developers or the rom's op (sometimes the dev will have in the op or the second or third post a list of mods for the rom).

Give Go Locker a try its fairly decent. I've used it a couple of times. I have widget locker it's a paid app so i stick with it but really did like the go locker and its many themes.

The cool thing about Widgetlocker is the ability to create your own thing, put together your own image with whatever slider and widget you want.
