I had exactly the same problem with my wife and my EVO. Couldn't receive MMS to either phone when sent from the other. Spent a week with Sprint support trying figure it out. Second level tech support finally told me that it was a known problem and that the work around was to make sure that there are no non-numeric characters in the contact record phone number you're trying to send the MMS to. That is no "-" or "(" or ")" characters, just the numbers. When I made that change my wife could finally receive my MMS messages to her phone. Supposedly Sprint and HTC are working on the problem. Go in and edit the number and see if it doesn't fix your problem too.
Good luck!
