Has anyone else here have this problem?

After I tap "Check Now", the little "Checking..." circle keeps going around for hours. No message about failing or finding anything - just the circle going around and around and around......

I checked on the HTC website, but only find one or two more people with this problem.

Anyone here have or had the problem and successfully got the update later?

Did you get this figured out? Mine worked just fine on day 1, but I just tried to update a friends and got the same thing.

When you go to Menu -> Settings -> About phone -> Software information, what does it say for software number?

Keep trying my friend. I had the same problem, but after 4 tries over the course of a few days, it finally worked.

Just started experiencing the same problem with Profile Update - keeps circling, can't even cancel. Evo Froyo .3 (early, unofficial). Hope this doesn't come across as thread-jack as these, IMO, appear to be similar and related issues.
