Default Way to delete words from texting dictionary?

Hey all I'm using the regular messaging app and I'm just wondering if there's a way to delete words from the dictionary. I tend to save words that aren't words, and it's gotten to the point where the phone picks the wrong words over the right words.

So is this possible?

Touch the Menu button and go to Settings, then go to Language & Keyboard, then go to Touch Input, there you will see User Dictionary, that's where you need to go, there you can add new words and delete words. As far as I know this works, you have to hit menu if you want to delete words.

Also, if you go to Text Input in the Touch Input setting, there you can turn off the Word Prediction, Spell Correction, and Word Completion. Just in case if you're like me, and you hate it when they give you option to complete the words since they always miss me up.

Is there a way to remove a pre-defined word. Whenever I write "and" it ALWAYS chooses SMS! I would never type SMS so I want to remove it if possible. Thanks
