Default EVO won't sync phone calendar to PC

Just purchased an EVO and completely love it!!! One pain point is that any appointments I add to my phone will not update to my Outlook 2007. I have the default calendar set to "PC Sync" on the appointment and on the HTC Sync settings have the option for last modified entry to win and update in both places.

Any suggestions???

I'm no expert, but your phone Calendar is already syncing with Google - isn't what you really want to then sync your Outlook with Google?

Google Calendar

I'm not syncing with my Google calendar...only Outlook. I have the Google calendar disabled for syncing on the phone already.

Ok, if that's best for you.

HTC Sync is totally worthless to me. I also ONLY want to sync with my PC and Outlook. It worked great for a few times then stopped and hasn't worked since. I contact Sprint who wanted me to return the phone, but since I always get an error on the PC when starting HTC Sync, I think it's the software on the PC and not the phone.

I called HTC support and they tried to be helpful, then said that my support ticket would be moved to a higher level and I'd get a call back in a few days. It's been two weeks, so I assume that the elevated level of support just does't exist.

Had I know of this first, it WOULD have been a deal-breaker for getting this phone. My wife has had a Pre since it came out this this was the reason I didn't get one.

I've installed all the different versions of HTC sync multiple times and nothing helps. Either it works or it doesn't work -- some people have it working and some, like me, NEVER get it to work.

I'd sacrifice a lot of features to go back to my old Treo, but I'd do it right away if I didn't have all that money tied up in this new phone.

Sign up for google apps premier($50/yr) and you can sync email, contacts, and calendar with MS Outlook and/or google apps instantaneously and wirelessly.

I've been running it for 2 months now and it's flawless! A must have for business users who still want to run Outlook and/or wireless sync to office, home, wherever!

My husband the IT GOD in our house figured out the issue. I would not recommend this for an average end user as it could significantly affect your computer. What he figured out was although I completely uninstalled a previous version of HTC Sync for my Hero; there were still remnants of it in the computer's registry. He manually went into the registry and eliminated all of residuals that remained to completely eliminate it from my machine. After that, we did a factory reset on the phone, reinstalled HTC Sync for EVO and it has worked perfectly ever since! Everything syncs both ways now between my phone and Outlook 2007.

Default How to delete the PC canlendar from phone

So I synced my phone to my computer using HTC Sync, the problem is that it synced my outlook calendar too. I have active sync so I don't need to sync the calendar using HTC sync. Is there a way to DELETE the PC Sync calendar? I know I can disable the calendar from viewing it, but that is not what I want. I want to delete/remove the calendar.

Thanks...

I don't think you can delete the PC Sync from the phone, but you can disable HTC Sync from syncing the calendar when you connect to your computer. It would be under HTC Sync - Settings. For example, I don't sync my contacts because it would mess up the pictures associated with each person. But I still have the calendar option turned on.
