I have an evo and havnt received a 2.2 update. Sprint customer service hadn't heard of this problem, Sprint store hadn't heard this problem. So don't know what to do or why I am not getting the update.

Any help or info you all may have about this issue would be appreciated

Nope, completely clean, nothing on it

Did you check to see if you have 2.2?

Push Home>Menu>Settings>About Phone>Software Information

Android version is what?

Oh yes I have checked.

It reads

2.1-update1

Under "System Updates" make sure you are slecting "HTC Software update" and not "Firmware update".

Yes, I am checking HTC update, firmware update also, but I get nothing.

If anyone is aware of a process to manually update to official 2.2, or any other options, that would be great also at this point.

Thank you, I have found similar but my concern is whether or not this is the same as the official update. I remember when this became available and people saying not to download it that it is buggy and not the official update. Any info on that concern of mine?

Make sure before you do this you know what your getting into. Your phone will have to be able to connect via htcsync in order to do it manually with the RUU.

ive got 2.1 update 1 on my phone and havent revieved any update for 2.2. Tried everything from manually checking for firmware and htc upgrades to installing 2.2 manually. When i install the update.zip package , it says update abborted. Verification failed. I just want 2.2. Please help.
