Cool Possible to take screenshots with unrooted Evo?

I wana take a screen shot of my screen at any time.

Then you'll need to root. that's just the way it is for now. The only way do take a screen capture without rooting is to use the SDK in debugging mode. Maybe if enough people cry a river, then it will be included in 3.0...maybe.

Yeah, native screenshot support even at kernel level or api has been requested officially; Issue 6547 - android - Screen shots - Project Hosting on Google Code

It would be awesome if it made a future Android release.

Question What about this??

I found an app that has "Screenshot" capabilites! If this developer can do it, why can't anyone else figure it out??

The app is called "Nesoid Lite" it's a Nintendo game emulator.

while playing a game press the MENU button, select MORE, Select "Screenshot".

The image is then saved to the gallery in a folder called screenshot!


My Phone: Evo 4G running Android 2.2 *NOT ROOTED*
