Default Screebl Theory

For those of you who suspect Screebl (Pro, in my case) is eating your battery, I submit the following for your thoughts & input:

My problem is with HTC EVO. Have used Screebl Pro since I first got the phone on June 4th. It was working fine....giving me more than a day of battery use, easily. Just recently though, my battery life dropped to less than 4 hours!. No programs running in background. Usual suspects (GPS, various programs) all turned off and not demanding frequent updates.

Phone shows Screebl is using 94 percent of my battery.

Most curious is that Awake Time is way too high compared to Up time.
(Phone not plugged in while charging)

Could Sceebl somehow not be shutting my phone down (allowing it to
sleep) when it appears to be doing so?

Well, I disabled Screebl earlier today and battery use has slowed way down. I'll continue to monitor while not using Screebl.

Moreover, Up time is now about DOUBLE the Awake time...which leads me to believe that while Screebl Pro was APPARENTLY allowing the phone to sleep, it was not.

I don't want to give up using Screebl....but suspect this is what's
happening.

Thoughts? All of this came out of the blue. Again, I had been getting a day
(plus) out of my battery. Sometimes now only a few hours!

BTW: I have not added or changed any apps from
the time battery was performing well to the inexplicable 4 hour
(sometimes less) performance!

My battery was draining all of a sudden. I suspect this was this app (Pro version). and when i uninstall the app, my battery was back to normal. if you check out the developer site, it does mention about battery drainage on htc evo

msvnlu:

I have looked all over the developer site and don't see reference to battery issues with EVO. Could you post a link to that? (Also have exchanged e-mails with developer...he hasn't indicated any previous knowledge of EVO issues)

I think I got the same problem on my HTC Wildfire. I got the screebl pro version running for few days, suddenly the battery drain was too fast compared to earlier use. I also recognized the same problem as you, that the screebl app was using 90% of my battery... could it be that my phone doesn't shut down the screen when screebl was running...

Anyone else had the same problem
