I just got my Evo yesterday and I'm having problems loading a number of apps. Angry Birds, Radiant, Googly Sky, and a couple others I can't remember at the moment. Anyone else have this issue or insight into the problem?

Please be more specific... installing? Running? Error messages? What's it do? What doesn't it do? Have you tried powering-off, then on?

Go to settings- > Applications- > Manage Applications- > Market- >
Check/clear cache. Reboot and try again.

Also make sure your background data is enabled.

Sorry for the lack of clarity, I can download fro the market but the apps fail to install.

Tried twice and still not working.

Any other ideas?

Well I fixed it. On a whim I reformatted the SD card and problem solved.

Well, that's an interesting fix. I wonder how the SD card could have interfered with the installation of an app -- especially if you cleared the cache (which I think lives on the card).

Did you copy all the files on the card off somewhere, format the card, then copy them back -- or did you just format?

I figured out that the only apps I was having problems with were those that live on the card. I didn't have much on the card that I cared about so after repeatedly having no luck with clearing the cache I went ahead and formatted. Everything worked right away after that.
