I am unable to find an answer to my issue anywhere. I cannot send or receive picture mail. This happened to me one other time before; I called Sprint and was told to hard reset my phone. I won't do that again, because I honestly feel that was just the easy way out. There has to be some way to fix it. That being said, I have taken out the battery, let it stay out for a good 20 min. before rebooting. I updated my profile and PRL and I cleared the data in the messaging app. I disabled WiFi and they won't come through using 3G either. I even uninstalled handcent and the problem persists with the stock app. Absolutely none of the above has fixed this issue. I send and receive picture texts daily, so I would really love to have this running again! I have sent myself a photo and it did not go through. I keep getting "generic network failure".
I also noticed there is nothing set under any of the connection settings. Should there be something there?

ps- I am not rooted.

how good is your 3g signal? do you have data but can't send messages? i'm not sure that it will help but you can try this: [MAJOR SOLUTION] Fix your slow 3g speeds:EVO4g. other then that i would take it back to sprint.

What txt program are you using??? I had Handscent, mms (picures) worked for a while then quit. tried gosms pro same thing...(picures would sent for a while) then quit again. during this time I could send regular text messages ok with both programs. and I could send mms (pictures) with the stock txt program. I am at a loss about this. I am now trying chomp and have no problems, but it has only been few days. has happened on both phones evo 4g and evo shift. so far no help

i do not get a general network failure, just picture does not sebd

I have the same issue.
Text only works fine.
Generic Network failure when sending pic.
I called Sprint
We went through a few steps. Including removing the battery and re-booting.
(Not Hard Reset) Worked great for about 16 hrs.
Now won't work again. Very frustrating.
That's all the info I got.

My Evo is rooted, but I am having the same "generic network failure". I would love to get this fixed. Love my phone, but really thinking hard about upgrading to something else soon.

What messaging app are you using? Do you have a good data connection or wifi when sending?

Have you tried simply updating your PRL and profile within settings?
