Default Failed Evo Screen Replacement

Hey everyone,

I just replaced my Evo screen a few days ago and now it seems I've done more harm than good.

The screen remains totally black, save for the blacklight the comes on when I press the power button. It's fully functional, otherwise. Although I can't see what I'm doing, I can answer calls by swiping down, so I know the touch input works just fine.

Did I damage anything? Are some things not connecting properly? What steps should I take to fix it? My warranty is void at this point.

Many thanks!

Regards,

J Meyer

Welcome to the forums!!!

Have you tried to find a youtube video showing the exact steps to remove and replace an evo screen?

Check this one out and see if it helps:

Please let us know if this works. May be another option I'm not thinking of.

Thanks for the reply!

This is actually the exact video I used when disassembling my device. I've deconstructed/reconstructed my device multiple times, but still no luck. I'm afraid something may have been damaged in the process. If not, I see a lot of connections in the back that I may have accidentally moved.
