Default Programming/Activation

I anticipate that I'll want to do a factory reset on the EVO at least once in the early days of my ownership, for any number of reasons (resetting default google account, clearing all 3d party apps, etc.). As an Incredible owner, I did at least 3 factory resets while playing around to get the phone setup to my liking.

During the setup wizard on the Incredible, there is a step for activation/programming on Verizon. This is where you dial *228,1 and Verizon's OTA programming is automatically installed on the phone. No need to call Verizon, or go on the website, or anything like that.

This will be my first time on Sprint, so my question: is there an equivalent to *228 on Sprint? Is activation/programming self-service the way it is on Verizon, or does it require some interaction with tech support?
