I just got the HTC EVO and I have the favorites widget. Well, it asked me to assign a default action to each person such as call, bring up contact info, or email. I accidentally assigned "email" to one of my favorites, and now whenever I press her, it wants to send her an email. how do I change what I set as her default action?

Go into the People application and select the contact you want and edit the contact. There should bean option there to edit the default action for that contact.

Late reply, but just in case you still need it - do you mean remove from favorites (i.e. keep the contact, just remove it from the group)?

Edit contact - Groups - Untick favorites.

I managed to delete the entire favorites screen from one of my home screens while trying to get rid of one contact. How can I recover or recreate a favorites widget (it's not located in my widgets list)

It's the People widget, there are 2 styles to choose from. Then you select which group you want to show in the widget, ie. Favorites.

Any way to set no default action in the widget? I've got mine all set, except some default to their contact card and some bring up a straight menu of what to do. (SMS, Call, E-Mail, etc. ) Trying to make it uniform.
