Default What is the best app for Exchange/Activsync?

I came from a Samsung Moment which had Moxier Mail built in, I used that and was happy with it. When I got my EVO, I decided to try Touchdown, and downloaded the trial from the Market. It also works well, and is five bucks cheaper than Moxier.
But what about the built in Mail app? It’s also cheaper (free) but I don’t know how feature rich it is. Has anyone compared these apps. What is your preference? I have three weeks to decide if I want to pay for Touchdown.
Thanks in advance.

BTW, The EVO is WAY better than the Moment! Even after the 2.1 upgrade on the Moment. And that's with 4G turned off to save the battery.

I like the HTC mail app. It has activesync, but it isn't compatible with all Exchange Server profiles and may not be compatible with Exchange 2010 (from issues I've read in the forums). The HTC mail app focuses on your inbox, and doesn't really have a lot of customization beyond that. Setting appointments is also a little bit cumbersome. Touchdown is a full-featured app with tons of settings and customizations you can do. It also works with more (if not all) Exchange server profiles. The built-in app works for my phone at my work, but didn't work for my wife's phone at her work. Touchdown did the trick for her. Touchdown also makes it easier to make appointments and otherwise use the other features of Exchange beyond just the "inbox".

So far the built in HTC "Mail" app has worked for me. Gets my company email as it arrives. Sometimes before the desktop gets it. My only complaint is that you need to use the Gmail app to get Gmail the same way as neither works with the other as far as push goes. I can deal with two mail apps but I prefer the way it worked on past phones where one app could get push from either. If someone puts out an app that does that well for a couple of bucks I will be all over it.
