Question Keyboard auto-replace: 'u' into 'you'?

The Evo is my first Android phone. I'm loving it except for that on my Palm Pre and my BlackBerry before that, when I typed the letter 'u' by itself, my phone knew to correct it into 'you'. Is there some way I can tell the Evo that I want it to do that?

I've already looked like a 13-year-old in like three emails to co-workers by saying things like: "Hey, can u look at this when u have a chance?"

I know the HTC_IME keyboard from XDA has a setting that allows you to set which chars to be replaced. Maybe try it out.

I highly recommend Smart Keyboard. It has an autotext feature similar to the blackberry. Works great.
