thats a low level line OUT for a amp. thats a preamp signal. you can not use that with your EVO. if you dont have an aux in on the front as suggested above, you must use:
1. bluetooth -- does the headunit have BT?
2. tape adapter if it has a tape machine
3. RF for radio FM station...
EDIT: yep just checked the site for the HU (thank you for the link). yeah you can only use an FM X-mitter for this. you do not have an AUX in.
No, that doesnt help. you have an aftermarket system, so it doesnt matter what kind of car you have.

1. The unit does NOT have bluetooth.
2. The unit does NOT have a tape adapter.
3. I believe that leaves me with only the RF for radio option.
What hardware do you recommend in this situation?
You just need an FM transmitter then. However, be aware, they dont sound good at all. It will sound like you are listening to a cassette. There is nothing you can do about it, thats the nature of small FM transmitters.

indeed...be prepared for all kinds of feedback and noise, and possible interference from other fm transmissions as you come near them.
I once even had a guy in a truck next to me using one and heard what he was listening to instead of mine
if money is an option to consider, stepping up to a HU with an aux jack may be cheaper than a full blown unit with all the bells... just giving options for the OP... ;-)
Thank you all for your extremely informative and timely input!
Since money is currently an issue, I believe I will end up going with an FM transmitter if I can find one that is inexpensive and has acceptable reviews.

Again, thank you all!
Experience has taught me me that you get exactly what you pay for in FM transmitters, buy the best you can afford, your ears will thank you...
Worst case get a bluetooth speaker and put it on your visor... ( eh nevermind one that would sound decent enough, would cost as much as another head unit with proper connections)
It says it's out of stock on Amazon right now but I'm sure you can find it somewhere. You can hook up a USB cable to charge your phone through this unit, so you don't need 2 cigarette lighter outlets to play and charge. It also has AUX in, so you can also use the transmitter with other items that don't have bluetooth, like an iPod.
I use mine every day with my EVO and have had no problems at all.

I noticed it has an auto-tune feature. That sounds similar to what Motorola uses in their T505. I hate the auto-tune they have. It does a poor job on finding good stations. I'd much rather have manual tune...and the auto-tune can be a convenience option, but NEVER a replacement for manual tuning.

How do you use bluetooth on the phone to the car to play audio? I would love to do that? Mine does calls but I don't know how to do that and audio?
