Default Glass Replacement

Good Evening,
My husband had dropped his phone (same as mine) today and the glass shattered. How much would Sprint charge if we purchased the glass and had them put it in instead? If we decide to replace it ourselves how hard is it? This is the 2nd time my husband had to get a replacement phone and right now we can't afford the $100 for a refurbished one. What we will do while we wait is most likely tape it and put a cover on it to help it stay in place. What is everyone's opinion? Is it cheaper to purchase the glass and have one of the sprint pro's put it in if they would?
