Default Pic from Camera for wallpaper?

I have just got the EVO and have taken a few pictures and want to make one of them my wallpaper.
Having set it as wallpaper it is huge and zoomed in alot so I cant really see the picture, I found the crop setting and did so but it is still no better.
Is there any way to make it smaller and not zoomed in so much?

What resolution did you use? I plan to do the same thing and have a few pics ready to go for when I get my phone. Your post makes me wonder if mine will work. I've read that the proper resolution is 960 x 800.

How are you getting the picture into the wallpaper? It works for me from the gallery or the Home > Menu > Wallpaper method. Took a full 8mp picture and tried it and it brings up a green square on the picture to show you what the crop will be for the wallpaper. You can drag that square around or resize it.

Ok guys thanks for the replies, what it is doing is stretching the photo across all the screens, so i guess my question is: Is there a way to make the photo show up on the one screen and not stretch across all the home screens?

Wallpapers stretch across all screens. That's how it supposed to be.

Yea ... my guess its spose 2 stretch across all screens b/c of the htc sense. So you may not be able to use the pic that you want

umm not quite sure about the whole pic but i think you would need to make the picture smaller somehow maybe by putting it onto your computer putting it onto a black backround then put it onto your camera so when you stetch it you stretch it all the way you can but when it gets bigger on your home screen the whole thing fits

The way the wallpaper is designed is so that it shifts as you're moving between the home screens. The wallpaper is only 960 pixels wide even though the total width of 7 home screens is 3360 pixels. Whatever photo you use will shift this way.
