I've had my evo shift for almost 8 months and have been running 2.2 since I've had it... but when I check for any firmware updated for it, I keep getting a message saying there are none. I was wondering if there was a way for me to get a gingerbread update other than ota from sprint. Any help with this issue would be appreciated. thanks

You can get the Gingerbread ruu from here [ROM]Speedy Shipped ROM Collection - xda-developers. I've never tried this on a non rooted phone but it should work. It's a exe you run from your pc, you may need htc sync installed so you have the proper drivers.
