Default Please help, instructions here are unclear

OK I have a HTC evo shift (its my brothers) and I was wondering if any body knows how to root this bad boy all the root guides are a lil scary lol any help would be greatly appreciated

It really depends what version of android you're running
You can find that information in Settings > About > Software Information
Post it here when you find it and I can link you to the right guide

May I add that the latest OTA isn't supported yet, only by my method, ^^
So if you updated since september, you'll have to use my "quick guide" to downgrading to 2.2, from which you can root it from. Link to "quick guide" - 2.3.4 Latest OTA[2.77.651.8] Downgrade!!
