Default HTC Evo Pairing to Handsfree Link HELP!!

Trying to pair HTC EVO 4G shift with Bluetooth 2.1 to Handsfree Link on 2005 Acura TL. I've tried everything suggested in the forums with no luck! It simply will not find my phone I've got it in discoverable mode when handsfree link asks for it and tried to scan for devices on my phone as well, made sure every other phone was deleted from the car as well. What the H??? Somebody please help!!
